Yes in College. This was after I finished my MBA in 2009. Requirement was 6 units (I think) of educ to teach in college. And he said I should start in CSB daw muna (which I don't like because no offense to CSB grads but I have friends who used to go to school either drunk or high in CSB )

But CSB pays the highest if not amongst the highest Cath. That's what a lot of friends told me.

And from an educator's point of view, (if we follow your assumption), you put the brightest minds to the students who need it the most.

One thing to consider though, teaching, especially in this country, is a vocation. If you're not really into the academe, you'll barely survive. Especially if you're lifestyle can't cope with that.

I receive my side job salary from the university via ATM. And I don't touch that nor rely on that for survival. It's just there. Because you'll be frustrated if you check it every payday. But then, since I don't touch it, when I check the balance, I'll be surprise may pera pala ako dun. Parang alkansya ko lang. Pag may emergency or need bumili pang reward sa sarili

This year I'll buy an adventure motorcycle coming from the savings from years of teaching

OT na tayo. Maybe you should start a thread for this topic Cath

Plus maraming intrinsic benefits ang pagtuturo. Nakakatuwa pag nakikita mo na natututo mga Students mo from your teachings. Para kang second parent nila. You need to give them proper guidance and support. Pero parating may pasaway na student. Always. Live with that.

my generation is fraught with part- and full-dentures, caps, and whatnot.
we narrowly missed out on the gold trim.
but my children's teeth are very good. and they're not even doing much about it! they are even champions of the ten-second toothbrush technique. must be the flouride (in nawasa water?).

I think there are a lot of seniors with full dentures. Pero pag born 1970 and younger, parang no excuse to wear full dentures unless pinabayaan talaga ngipin. I wonder if the joke is true that Rufa Mae Quinto wears full dentures and removes it when giving oral pleasure to men. hahaha.
