Was that girl bullied in school? It says a lot about the parents to name their child like that I have an officemate ang pangalan Baby. Wow.

She was already in college. It wasn't an uncommon name or a name "misspelled" to her classmates. Maybe her classmates know no better. Or by the time she got to college she was used already with the comments from other people.

Nevertheless, I kept my observation to myself so as to not discomfort the student in my class.

Pero kamot ulo pa rin ako. I had to check the official class list twice or thrice for the correct spelling. Akala ko nickname or yung bata lang nagpauso like when other kids put an H or a Z to their name. Like Bhoy or Chrizz. Pero that's her official name talaga.

She probably didn't go to school where I went or she would have been bullied for sure. Sa office nha namin people with weird names are made fun of. Tulad ng ang pangalan Baby. May isa naman Viverly

sometimes, the poor child's name lengthens because of some requests from family, to name the child after certain family members.

i cringe at these unique names, as the health insurance people will not accept documents with the names improperly spelled.

the patient nicely complains, "doc, bakit naman mis-spelled yung pangalan...?"
sa loob loob ko lang, "e, sino bang pumili ng napaka-alanganin na pangalan na yan? , kung "ann uy" ba ang pinili ninyo, e di walang prublema."
