    keep calling them dr. xxx.
they will not admit it, but they feel better if they are addressed that way.
'wag lang yung with heavy accent. because that would mean, "they did something wrong... " uh-oh... here's an un-happy customer.

I'm okay with bro and sir (as long as it's not overdone).Yung papi/papa, yan ang tawag ng bakla na officemate ko sa "boylet" niya. Brad, okay yan yung ka frat mo naman yung tao.

Pag harapan, I called them "doctor" talaga instead of"doc". Medyo mahaba pero sanayan lang siguro.

No bes, mahina ka talaga, people call kuya or ate as a sign of respect in a generic sort of way..thats what my parents thought me..telling someone kuya invokes friendship and closeness, that we are in a group.. if someone calls you that and youre offended, either youre gay and liked to be called ate instead..so what will i call you kuya or bes?

May Filipina youtuber ako na pinapanood, ang tawag niya sa halos lahat ate or kuya (grab driver, sales lady, waiter etc). I find it so cringe worthy. Yung culture ngayon halos wala ng formality at boundaries.
Thats not cringe wothy... calling someone HOY is...Kuya or ate is a generic form of respect..its better than to individualize each person you meet, like kuya guard and that person thats well dressed, shall i call him sir or kuya? in an office setting maam and sir is mandatory, in casual situations ...its different...
