^si kuya big ganyan. "bes" naman ngayon, dati kuya eh ^_^
That's not what my parents taught me. In fact, my Dad corrected me when I called a non-relative "Tita". I was taught to use Mr, Ms or Mrs etc.
Recently lang naman nauso yang calling everyone Kuya and Ate. In school we use "Manong" and "Manang" because that's just the culture there, but when I became an adult, I stopped using "Manong" and "Manang", baka sabihin pa, tanda ko na bakit ginagamit ko pa manang at manong.

spank me daddy, that's better!
Kadiri naman yung "Kuya" hahahaha
Lalo pang weird yung halos magka age tapos Ate at Kuya ang tawagan hahaha
May Filipina youtuber ako na pinapanood, ang tawag niya sa halos lahat ate or kuya (grab driver, sales lady, waiter etc). I find it so cringe worthy. Yung culture ngayon halos wala ng formality at boundaries.
