I was looking for Hyundai Xteer engine oil online and saw this one "Hyundai Xteer Gasoline G700 5W-30". Is it the same as "Hyundai Xteer Ultra Gasoline Protection 5W-30"?

Here I go again, oil change time! Time flies really, 1 year na agad since I last changed it. Wala pa ata 1k kms tinakbo
Pwede bang ipagamit yung naipon na extra engine oil from previous PMS? May sobra kasing oil every PMS and lahat ng ginamit during PMS eh inuuwi ko.
Depende kung gaano katagal since opening the container.
Engine oils, mahaba shelf life niyan if unopened- as in years.
Pag opened na, use the remainder within a reasonable* time.
*I don't have data, authorities, etc. to cite as to how long a "reasonable" time is but IMHO, kahit higpitan mo yung pagsara ulit and keep them in their original containers, they will begin to absorb moisture, etc. Hindi pa rin ideal yun compared to "fresh" oil in bottles sealed from the factory/refinery.
Palagay ko, if mga 6-12 months from yung last oil change ok lang, but if yung medyo taon na, wag na. What we do with the "butal" remainder oil is to use them to grease hinges of gates, or brushed/wiped (very lightly) on tools in storage, etc. para di naman sayang... or use them for topping up (a little) in between oil changes, pero yung tipong inipon mo until a liter or more na, tapos yun isasalin mo sa engine, wag naman siguro.
Malamang, yung sobrang oil is from mga midsize engines (1.3 to 1.8) na mga 3.5 litres (inc. filter) ang capacity, tapos gallon container yung binili, so lagi may sobrang mga 400ml or so![]()
Yan din ang nabasa ko dati about opened containers so sa 1.8 ko, may konting tira nga ang 1 gallon so itatago ko ito just in case kumain ng oil ang engine and I need to top up. But it never happens so I throw away (responsibly) this leftover on my next oil change and keep the butal of the next for the same reason.
lalo kun pag top up lang until you get to your next oil chage. pwedeng pwede.
Pwede rin if marami na yung naipon na sobra, suggestion ko gamitin na lang pang flushing sa makina, before you change the oil.
Eh di nagamit pa pang linis ng makina di ba?
Much, much better & safer than using those solvent/dispersant flushing oils (which I personally, don't recommend- my opinion).
Pwede kaya ang 3 liters pang flush sa ganito? Abot ba sa minimum line ng dipstick?
Ang generic template is 1 liter yung difference between yung low and full indicator sa dipstick, and may laman naman yung existing oil filter, so 3 liters should be above the minimum line, BUT mahirap magsabi, kasi iba iba na ang mga makina.
Kung kulang eh di dagdagan na lang konti from yung bago mo na dala pang change oil (tutal lagi naman ata sobra yung 1 gallon) so you have more than you need, and that will solve the problem na may naiiwan![]()
I recently bought 7Li of engine oil from shopee online. I was surprise when i opened up the package it has oil all over the box so immediately I check all bottles and surprisingly all bottles were sealed properly and no spill coming for the bottles. So how come it has oil all over the box and bubble wrap? I chat with the supplier and they told me their items are all brand new and sealed. I was thinking probably they repack the oil? but it is sealed hmm......
Reusing the original containers? Pwede, pero parang ang hirap ata gawin:
Tipong ganito?
1.Have people scrounging around/buying from mambobote containers of premium brands- Mitatsu, Eneos, Amsoil, Mobil1, etc.
2.Have people cleaning/refurb. these used containers para hindi halatang galing sa basura;
3.Refill container from drum of cheap 20W-40 CD/SF;
4.Pass off the products as “genuine” Mitatsu 0W-20, etc.
Problems:
1. How do you ensure a steady sufficient supply of used containers to sustain operation (para makabuo kahit na 1 box of 1 liter bottles, for example)? Sigurado ako, even if you scour MM daily, hindi consistent ang mabibigay sa iyo (iba iba, gallon, 1 liter etc., and iba ibang brands) (hindi yan bote ng patis etc. na standard etc.) Baka matagal bago ka makaipon ng enough of the same size & brand containers
2. Ang hirap/tagal linisin (labor intensive) yung mga containers etc to a level na mukang brand new (walang mantsa yung label etc.-remember galing sa basura ito) More likely, mahahalata ng bibili na nilinis lang.
Given all that needs to be done & yung problems mentioned, I don’t think one can do this on a scale/volume enough to make it profitable.
One would do all that para makabenta lang ng say, 2-3 boxes per month of fake oil? (and remember, hindi naman lagi may bumibili) Magkano lang kikitain dun, given all the hassle involved? Baka malaki pa expense/effort for chump change lang...![]()
