the more these clowns and "mechanics" mess with the car, the more it gets messed up. just stick with the routine preventive maintenance

    what they probably mean is,
"when the CVT fails, its lifetime is over."
then, you don't need to do fluid change. you need to replace the CVT!
    heh heh.

    joking aside,

cathy, you can do the coil replacement yourself. all it takes is 8 5mm bolts with 10mm heads, four connectors to disconnect and reconnect. will gladly provide assistance to you

    Yun lang hahaha

I had an anxiety attack this morning. I couldn't breathe Feeling ko talaga lemon car ko and I need to dispose of this soon pero hindi talaga ako bibilhan ng bago e jobless ako [emoji24]

Anyway, thanks to the Tsikot community kasi yung 40k PMS ko na P18k was cut in half! Kung madadala ko lang car ko sa QC baka less than P10k lang magastos ko for the coil ignition and valve cover

Thank you so much, I can't afford you though I thought you are in the US or somewhere else?

I feel so bad having to pay P27k for that but casa is the closest and most convenient place for me kasi. One thing I hate the most pala is paying for something I know I can get cheaper. I am so OC na I'd go to different groceries para I can buy where it is cheapest (I take into account din na I don't pay for parking or sabay ko sa ibang lakas) Tapos now I have to pay P7k for labor when I can do it almost for free (from ULS) or you? hahaha

BTW with my older cars my Dad taught me how change oil myself, I know how to change the spark plugs but with newer cars (since my 10th gen) I absolutely do NOT open the hood anymore.

Sobrang taga nga yung labor but the parts is okay kasi may factory warranty yan. Anyway, we pay for convenience talaga.

    Lemon?

Simple wear and tear lang yan. Think of it as just a tire being replaced or a tailight bulb going out...

Every car make & model has its particular quirks naman, with some more prone to certain issues than others. Baka in the case of the Altis, its this #2 ignition coil.

At least on record na yan here, dagdag sa collective knowledge base here in Tsikot forums.

at the local toyota dealership shop, they charge $155 per hour
for replacing the valve cover gasket, that'll include replacement of the ignition coils, i normally charge 1 1/2 hours * $85 an hour fully documented with 0ne year warranty. if i was there, i offered to do it for you for free. where i'm at my rate per hour is lower than even the shops in both usn and usaf shops.
