Speedy Fix. Super taga rin pala

this is primarily the reason why this is called a forum. here, people can discuss things in a professional way, without hurting other people. however, honesty is the main ingredient here. let's give our opinions honestly to inform others. the TS might be griping but it's his privilege to air his opinion. after all, this is a forum. i've been to speedyfix's shop before and they are really good in fixing cars. i had the throttle body of my sentra fixed there. as i had said, it's the levi's of shop. quality commands a higher price. kung gusto nyong makamura, hanap kayo ng shop na kasya sa budget nyo. just my 2 cents.

I think the issue here is TS should have not blame speedy fix for the price..it's not like nagtanong siya muna ng price then yun bayaran biglang tinaas ng Speedyfix...

Wala naman lokohan nangyari eh, Speedyfix just bill him their usual prices for the service rendered.

Unfair din kasi na sabihin na super taga pala Sa Speedyfix.

Speedyfix do not usually reply here. Even my inquiry about an oil change before was not addressed asap here in the forums so i just called them up. For god's sake the person is running a business! He might be busy.

After all, Speedyfix does not owe jamescalderon an apology or an explanation because speedyfix didnt do something wrong. They charged their usual prices, thats all. They did not overcharge or make up a problem.

If james thinks they have gone overboard than his usual tabing talyer shop then he might as well fix his eyes. Facilities palang alam mo na na mas mahal.

You know, aside from the fact that you get what you pay for, we have been reminded of the fact that common sense isnt really very common. How would you expect speedyfix with all the facilities he has to charge the same as mang jobert's radiator shop that hardly has any comfortable benches to sit on?

Ok to sum it up.

This Speedyfix shop charges a bit more than our usual talyer and less than what casa charges - in between of the latter two.
But from the looks of the facilities of the shop, you would already know they will charge a higher price than a talyer sa tabi tabi.

Having said that, it is the consumers' responsibility to ask for an estimate of the cost (we are in the Philippines anyway) and also their right to refuse to be serviced (the car) and find another shop.

I find nothing wrong if the TS just want to say that Speedyfix's services are a bit expensive.
But if that is just the point of this thread, we should not expect Speedyfix to reply to it. It is an observation not a complaint by the TS

Masyado kasing subjective yung sinasabi niyang "super taga" that's why a lot of people (customers and even non-customers) criticized him. Yung mahal sa iba, reasonable sa iba. Parang tao lang yan, mas gugustuhin magbayad ng ng P100 na bote beer kasi mas maganda ang nakikitang crowd sa (insert superclub name here) compared sa P35/40 lang sa ibang establishments and compared sa P20+ lang sa suking tindahan but they end up drinking the same beer rin naman.

I have eversince been already aware that they charge higher than the fly-by-night or makeshift talyers out there but I'd still bring my car there for domr selected (not all because some I DIY, some I seek help from a nearby gas station) jobs because of the services and amenities they offer. Quality always comes with a premium attached to it. Not just the quality of the job but the quality of the equipment, the workplace, amenities and of course, their customer service.

i dont know speedyfix or haven't met him personally but what i do is the same.
kung tipid mode, nagpupunta ako kay cruven.. kung hindi, sa servitek..
whats the difference?

original parts vs refurbished parts
heck i can even relax in a sofa sa lounge ng servitek while waiting for my car to be repaired.

to each his own preference yan... the only thing that the ts missed is to shop around kung big deal ang price.

TS can just go to his favorite talyer who only charges P100 labor.

End of story.

wherever shop you go, just be a dick and observe what they do. mechanics usually do a better job when owners are observing their work, go around(your car) and act like your checking their tools, equipment, comment on busted tools. when you feel like they are throwing signs of irritation(not yet hostile hehe) order snacks and sandwhich or something and have them go on a break for a while, talk about what they think are other things you should be preparing for your car after this(while they are sipping coca-cola). when every thing is done, be sure to have them(and you) do a test/test drive... on what ever you made them do. inquire about warranties silently with the cashier only(not the mechanics-they hate the topic they will hate you for life hehe) after paying dont forget to pass by the mechanic who worked on your veh and give a tip(pang kape mamya hehe) you will note that you will have less visits at the shop other than the regular oil-change, washing... Note that the mechanics are the ones quoting the cashiers, if they dont like you, they will quote to the max so that you dont come back. if they like you, they will quote as per minimum to shop regulations only.

May thread plang gnito. Well let me share my experience. I just contacted them last 2 weeks ago I guess. Sa kakabasa ko sa forum na to madalas sila irecommend so I tried to check their price for a top overhaul and they said 35k! Man, I was just asking for a top overhaul and not an engine overhaul!! Super overpriced naman un! my mechanic just gave me a quote around 6k including labor. If they quoted me somwhere around 10k ill be more than happy to service my car to them.. kaso super OP ng 35k!!

P.S Uff I just read the 90% of the comments here and it seems ill be receiving lots of negative comments or replies.

You not need to have a degree for you to know the scope of a top overhaul. I just went to one auto center in my place and they quoted me to 8k free semi-syn oil. Kwik-Fit Car Care Center please google Bulacan branch. Mkkita nyo kng gaano kaganda un place, having 5 lifters or more. Ok din ang manager will tell you the scope of the service and possible results. Now ko lang pla ulet nabasa msg skn ni speedyfix 35k-45k pla!!

Nung nagpa quote ako sa speedy fix sa navara major repair clutch kit at flywheel konti lang difference, casa is 90k ++ sa speedy combination oem at replacement na parts. Kung bibili ako parts 40-50k , my mechanic at fellow tsikot here advice me medyo maselan at naka timing chain pag Mali ang kabit Hindi mag start or masira yung dual mass. So I decided sa casa lang pa repair nag hanap nalang ako kilala para me disc kc most na casa ayaw mag bigay disc... Finally nakita ako casa 15% on parts at 20% on labor then warranty 6mos or 10kms.
Mahirap Kung ala sila manual ng bawat sasakyan kc ang mag sacrifice eh tayo double bukol tau sa labor at sa parts.

For PMS and other minor car issues, I was eying other shops. Balak ko sana ang Petron CCC dito sa Masinag, kaso nagsara sila kakailan lang
