Rapide is no where as good as Speedfix.
Rapide is not even in the same league.
For one, SPEEDYFIX will actually fix your car's problem.
RAPIDE will add more problems to your car, aside from your original car problem, which remains unfixed after numerous visits.
RAPIDE will charge you an arm and a leg for everything they do on your car, and still your car will still remain unfixed of it's problems.
SPEEDYFIX may cost more than your local "talyer" but for the peace of mind I get for knowing my car will NOT bog down between my home and destination, it is a price that is well worth it.
If you still think your local talyer can fix your car problems better and cheaper than SPEEDYFIX, then you are free to do so.
Just saying, you might be biased or tight on the wallet for car maintenance, but that is your decision on how you treat your 2nd most expensive purchase.
I also came to know speedy fix dito. I juander!
okay let's say mas mahal nga sila than "usual" talyer, the point lang is you couldve asked for quotation first. Well almost all of us naman ask first kung how much before proceeding with the work.
ika nga ni Zenaida Seva, "Hindi hawak ng bituin ang ating kapalaran, gabay lamang ito. Meron tayong free will, gamitin natin 'to."
I've inquired with Speedyfix over the phone for parts and labor on several occasions, but have not really been able to pull the trigger and have the job done due to distance and timing constraints. Price-wise, they're a bit more expensive that one of my suking auto supply shops in Paranaque, but the difference on parts (i.e. shock absorbers, bushings, etc.) were in the hundreds and not the thousands. Not really alarming, coz some of my other suking auto supply shops in Makati charge about as much.
Key learning here would be to inquire first on pricing, and then trying it out. If you think it's too much, just walk away. Speedyfix probably comes highly recommended on the board because they've serviced a lot of tsikoteers and have solved their car's problems. The pricing premium may not have been a big factor for the high recommendation, or perhaps it was not considered much of a premium by some Tsikoteers.
I had a friend who was curious about the Speedyfix service because of the posting on this board. After his XX,XXX km PMS and some other fixes, he came back to me with the feedback that he wasn't really impressed by the work done. I asked him for more details, and if he felt cheated about the job done to his car. Hindi naman daw. Nagawa naman yung pinagagawa niya, he didn't think it had cheap pricing but it wasn't highway robbery, he didn't feel na nadaya siya. But he felt that the hype was a bit too much. He would recommend the shop, but he would probably go to somewhere nearer.
No need to wonder about it.
A good car shop's reputation speaks for itself. It does not need to be defended by it's owners/operators.
A bad car shop will defend itself to the death by whatever means it sees fit.
No wonder the discussion about Rapide is so long and controversial with a guy from Rapide trying to discredit an ex-employee.

Just one branch. San Juan.
if only jamescameron can post pictures of the parts he purchased at speedyfix and parts at the local auto supply, then maniniwala ako na taga nga. malaki talaga price difference sa OEM, OEM Replacement na Japan, OEM Replacement na Taiwan/China. I doubt if it's apple to apple comparison.
pero yun nga, the mark-up price is the price you are paying for convenience. siguro kung tiga anak-pawis ka di mo yan matatanggap.
true. but I've seen speedfix in other forums like tsikot reply to every customer comment, regardless if it's positive or negative. i can only speculate that he's so busy right now that he hasn't seen this thread.
does anyone here personally know speedyfix and advice him to address the comments/complaints of TS?
yes i know. but for this particular thread/issue not yet. kaya nga nagtataka ako bakit hanggang ngayon wala pa rin sya reply sa mga comments ni TS.
Dapat gaya nila intsik, liit tubo dami customer kaya laki kita. Hindi yung sagad tubo layas customer, sara negsyo.
Honestly I don't see the problem the TS here has aside from the prices being more than those c-rated shops/talyers in places like banawe or evangelista. If you can't afford sourcing parts from the shop itself then get a list of what needs to be replaced and get off your lazy ass and buy them yourself then have the shop install them to save you some cash. That's what I do unless the part in question is exclusive to the shop.
We should ask ourselves here, did speedyfix do a bad job or was the job good and no back jobs needed? All I see is complaints about the price. Can't afford it, go somewhere else. I've had my vitara done by speedyfix many times and not once did I return for a back job. My car was one of the ugliest, oldest, and cheapest in a shop filled with benz's, bmws, and the like, but they still gave me the same good service they give to their customers with deeper pockets. It's not cheap compared to c-rated shops but at least the prices aren't as outrageous as the casa. The service isn't garbage like what we hear from shops like Rapide and the like who charge a premium and don't do a good job. So honestly, I don't see a problem here.
Hell, I had my car engine overhauled by a total gas station mechanic which cost just P3000 labor and parts, but found out the job was botched and I had to get it to a different shop with a specialist to redo for P8000. You get what you pay for.
