Kala ko ikaw yung nag ubos nung Baldwin filters ni Volmax para sa Paj/Monty. :D

Sadly, it seems i can't use the BT223 on my 1.6L Altis with the 1ZR engine. Apparently it's filter is already replaceable media/cartridge type (it's tight at the back so i've yet to eyeball it on lifters to see the actual filter housing, unlike in the ZZ engine which is just upfront with a lot of space. If that's the case, its a good thing we still have other Toyotas in the garage which can take in the BT223.

For those of you who still think OEM equals quality.

Actually, you don't get what you pay for as the OEM stuff are pricey. In the case of the filter cartridge on the Toyota ZR engine, it's P300 a pop.

What was the OCI on that particular filter?

Nasty! I'm definitely switching to Baldwin when my warranty expires. For now I'll change the oil filter every 5k kms. My FS oil however still looks light brown after 5k kms.

    20k kms to go
