Had my change oil yesterday. Here's the oil filter element Toyota uses now for the 1ZR engine on the Gen 10.5 Altis.
This piece of origami cost P318!!!
The mechanic dropped the used filter into the can before i could get i. I'll take a shot of the used filter during my next service stop.Last edited by vinj; August 19th, 2012 at 09:41 PM.

^ Yep. And Toyota uses a special tool to remove the canister so when you have service done elsewhere, the mechanic should know how to properly unscrew it.
I hope better aftermarket elements will become available just as well. The o-ring (seen next to the filter) is also replaced every oil change.

Baldwin B2 on a Nissan LD20II. P200 pesoses only courtesy of Volmax. Samantalang yung VIC C209 costs more than P350. Nagiging overpriced na rin ang VIC.

quick questions folks:
I was checking out Baldwin and FG variants having thread M20X1.5 and i noticed that some have 5 holes on top and some have 8. Most of them have 19 or 20 PSID and thread is m20x1.5. Question is, Does the number of holes on top cause any incompatibility issues with a car? More holes better flow or not?
Heres a few i noticed:
B1446 - 5 top holes, 3.8in, 20 psid
LF3528 - 8 top holes, 4.15 in, 19.5 psid
B109 - 5 top holes, 5.833, 20 psid
LF3433 - 5 holes, 5.35in, 19 psid
B7243 - 7 top holes, 3.5 in, 20 psid
B1402 - 8 holes, 4in, 14 psid
B1400 - 8 holes, 3in, 14 psid
some friends of mine have been requesting for longer filters for their rides but arent available so i figured why not use the ones compatible with other cars like the one for the isuzu, its longer, same thread pattern, same PSID, only difference is the number of top holes. Can you use those instead?
