Noob Question: Same gas station?

Nope. I've tried it many times with a calibrating bucket. 10L is 10L, whether fast or slow.

But, if magpapafull tank ka, better to use the slow setting. Pumping fuel is like soda, nagbububbles pag masyado mabilis, so keep it slow so you can let the fuel settle and you get to fill the tank talaga.

Most pump attendants naman pag magfufull tank, 1 or 2 lang gamit, not 3 (fastest).

Noob question guys.

Wala ako alam sa sasakyan and this is my first time to have one.

Nung nilabas namin sa casa yung sasakyan nag pa gas kami sa caltex silver unleaded... Advisable ba or it's must na sa caltex ulit ako mag pa gas?

If hindi naman must, Do I need to empty the fuel first bago ako mag pa gas sa ibang gas station like petron or shell?

Most people prefer the fastest fill rate so they can get on with their journey quicker. If you want it slower, all you have to say to the pump attendant is "uno lang ha". This refers to just the first click of the nozzle lever which corresponds to the slowest fill rate.

all current gasoline fuels are mix-able with each other, with no ill-effects.
just be sure your engine's octane requirement is met.
same with diesel fuels.

yespo.. it depends on the car. some owners' manuals have that info mentioned.. new owners should scan that manual.. especially if the owner is a noobie.

It really depends per car, but usual is about 8-10L.

I once drove my Ranger from Camarines Norte to Camarines Sur (100+ km) with the fuel warning light already on and the needle already pointed at E, umabot naman. When I filled up, I consumed 74L, so it means I still had 6L in my 80L tank.

More recently I drove my Vios up until the needle was already way under the E mark, but when I filled up, 32L palang so may 10L pa since 42L ang tangke.

Point is, when the warning light shows up, fill up already. But if you can't, there's enough left in your tank to get you to the nearest gas station you can find.

i also played chicken with the fuel gauge in my earlier years, and i lost. fortunately, the gas station was within walking distance. the real problem was where to place the fuel and bring it to the car..

Suzuki Ertiga talaga yng manual, it's just yng suggestion lang at safe side na mag gas na.
Usually nagdadala ako ng empty bottle ng mga mineral water n 5L.

some gas stations will refuse to sell you gas if you do not have the requisite regulation "official" fuel container.. but... good luck just the same.

Should be standard for all stations, but yung iba siyempre ayaw mawalan ng benta just because their customer is using a mineral water bottle.

There's a sign to switch off the engine. And the gas boys will also tell you to switch off the engine if you didn't already.

Switch it off for safety. Malay mo ang naikarga diesel pala tapos nakaon ang engine. At least maagapan pa kahit papano. E kung nakaon. Ayun pumasok na agad sa engine. For safety switch it off na lang.

None of the majors in the area want to start a price war, while the small players just follow suit and also enjoy the huge margins they're making.

Once na may manggulo sa presyo, bababa lahat ng iba and boom goes the price war. Good for consumers, bad for business. This is the case in all price war areas. My favorite example is Alabang. The Petron station in Filinvest is owned by Ramon Ang himself. It serves as a flagship site that pumps out almost 1 million liters per month. He doesn't care if he makes pennies per liter, as long as he has the volume. Everyone else just followed suit to stay competitive. Kaya ayun, ang baba ng Alabang prices.

pennies per liter x big volume is typical chinese formula...

and is just possible, that location is what brings motorists to that station and not price?
