Looking for best oil for my 2kd-ftv 2.5L fortuner (2nd gen, 2012). Known problems of the Toyota D4D engine are carbon/soot buildup, EGR valves sticking and intake manifold carbon buildup. I want oil to control soot levels and protect engine/turbo.

(1) Caltex Delo Sports Synth Blend 10w30 - Product data sheet - CI-4, Zinc > 1500ppm, High SAPS, TBN 10.4
(2) Mobil Delvac City Logistics 10w-30 - Product Page - CI-4, TBN 9
(3) Amsoil 10w-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Product Page - CK-4, Noack 4.5% (!!), HTHS 3.6, TBN 10.2
(4) Amsoil 5w-30 Max Duty Signature Series - Product Page - CK-4, HTHS 3.5, TBN 10.2 - [color:#990000]Its a Signature Series, I wonder if I can reach their extended drains of 3x OEM.. so 30,000km. I can only dream lol.

CK-4 piques my interest but since the diesel fuels here are such a wildcard (in terms of sulfur content) I wonder if I should stick with CI-4/CI-4+. Also considering cost savings since my vehicle doesn't have a DPF.. so I could plug it with any older oil with high saps.

Comments and suggestions welcome!
Hi,

I finally got tired of paying for Motul Crdi specific oil and Motul Htec 100 plus since they had a big jump in prices from my last oil change and is looking for a cheaper alternative. I've been trying to back read til 2016 of this thread and came across ZIC oils. For long term users are they any good? Where is the cheapest I can buy them since I would have to have them shipped to Mindanao. Can't find a dealer here.

Oil is to be used in the ff cars

2007 Kia Carens 2.0L (Diesel) 60k KMS
2012 Hyundai Tucson R-evgt 2.0 L (Diesel) 45k KMS
2017 Ford Ranger 2.2L (Diesel) 3k KMS
2018 Toyota Innova 2.8L (Diesel) 5k KMS

In terms of oil change, your type of oil can be seen on you car's manual. However, I suggest that you can visit your trusted auto shop for oil change and other maintenance task to assist you regarding this matter. Hope this helps!

Just kinda worried about their quality since the price seems too good to be true. Reviews I've seen seems mixed. What is your opinion sir?

Andy's Parts Depot - Zic oil / Mag1 / Hi-Q dealer - Home | Facebook

I will be ordering from him as soon as I get myself an OEM oil filter.

Zic or Mag1 for 5w30?

its a big brand bro. SK ZIC is a subsidiary of SK Group.

Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?
