The first number is not as critical, but it is still important. If it didn't, manufacturers will still be recommending straight viscosity oils in the manual.

It is important because a lower first number would mean that the oil can much more easily start flowing to get to all engine parts faster upon starting.

on the benefit of using Fully Synthetic Oil is more on the duration of the use of such oil in the engine such as 10,000 km vs the mineral oil which has a life of not more than 5,000 kms.

Delo 400 mgx is a mineral oil but it has been tested for 80k kms.

bro 80,000km is possible for buses only. because they have some 40liters of engine oil and several oil filters to use up.

this 80,000kmoil drain interval is not applicable to 3-4 liters of oil

its varies, depending on the engine displacement and manufacturer.

    So, meron.

Anyway, SE wasn't too far off the mark... at least, that is based on my limited research. Typical bus engines have between 16 to 37 liters of engine oil. And yes, it depends on displacement and manufacturer.

My 25,000 PMS for my Toyota Fortuner is due soon. I have been reading several threads and I am quite convince with the explanations made in those threads that there are better oil filters than what casa is offering. I bought a Baldwin Oil Filter for my fortuner and would want Toyota casa install that Baldwin oil filter, instead of their OEM oil filter. My scheduled PMS is actually just a top-up of 1 liter fully synthetic oil (5w30) and change of oil filter. So my question is would Toyota casa allow me if I ask them to install the Baldwin Oil Filter? Would they refuse and worse consider voiding my warranty?

better filters as per spec. but have you heard of toyota engines failing because of their oil filters? engine failures occur because some forget changing their oils.

Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?
