Hi admin, pardon for barging-in. cant open a new thread for now.

I just bought a 2007 Vios 1.5G manual tranny with an odometer reading of 78k. Since this is my first car, im a NEWBIE when it comes to car maintenance. Just want to know what type/brand of coolant (coolant compartment is almost empty) i need to add and type/brand of engine oil (current color is amber brown) to use. Kindly include type/brand of steering wheel and brake fluid you recommend to use. Former owner of the car is already on other country that's why I cant get advise/feedback from him.

Thank you very much for your feedbacks to come.

P.S. You may put this topic on proper thread if you may..

Regarding sa coolant, use toyota pre mixed coolant. And make sure na warmed up na engine mo pag nag check ka. Dont use plain water alone.
Steering fluid? Hindi pa ba EPS and 2007 model? Dexron 3 atf should be fine as PS fluid. Brake fluid naman any brand will do basta DOT3. I suggest caltex or shell or mag1.
Enine oil any will do. 15w40 mineral, 5w30/10w30 for fully synthetic.
Better post you next queries sa Vios thread

check mo rin mabuti yung coolant compartment, kasi sa car ko, not toyota, mahaba siya so baka akala mo halos ubos na kasi malalim ang full level indicator.

Alam ko halos lahat ng fluids na gamit ng Honda is manufactured by Idemitsu, from engine oils to brake fluids to tranny fluids. If you want a good regular or semi-synthetic blend engine oil, go with Shell Helix HX7 5w40. I used it before on my Accord on 5k intervals.

Medyo mahal ang shell helix or I can say shell oils compare to honda/idemitsu base on my computation. Kung tutuusin mas mura pa casa change oil kesa sa shell haha but still I am looking for much cheaper compare kay casa. Kasi un fully synthetic ng idemitsu from unioil range ng 5 liter is 2150 and casa is 3500 package na un sa casa. Sa shell 4200 ata anyway I am looking for regular ng idemitsu kung saan makakabili aside from casa. Also lube service ng unioil kung meron sila hehe

As long as may filter + water separator yun linya. At hindi malakas ang pressure at hindi naka babad ng matagal. Yun tama lang na makalabas yun lumang langis na natira sa oil pan at pang finale konting buga via dipstick habang naka kabit yun filler cap.

Actually , I think it's really not advisable to do especially if Medyo high pressure yung hangin, the reason is the pressure of the air can force itself on oil seals and may cause it to be the cause of oil leaks in the future.

    Just my 2 cents bro,

He was concerned with the water. I wouldnt even use compressed air there. The oil pan normally has the cruds. You wont get any of those things out.
