Masyado mabilis yung 1-2 years shelf life ng engine oil.
Kahit 5 years nakatengga yan pwede nyo gamitin.

50 will never be the same as a 40 or a 30 at any driving condition (engine on or off)
If what your saying is 50 would turn 40 once heated up then 30 would turn 20 and 20 to 10 viscosity when heated up. Hence 50 will never be equal to 40 or 30
That you can determine with different manufacturers
If its industry standard to stamp shelf life into oil containers then most oil containers will carry such mark if not then there will be none
Shelf life could be a pigment of over concious consumers imagination
As long as the container is sealed then its good
Heck some used oil are even recycled, all casas earn from the used oil every car owners throw away in their service bay. after filtering out the contaminants it goes back to the store sheves for all consumers to buy

Is this true? That honda repacking idemitsu which is meron din sa unioil. I have check their oils and found out mas cheap siya kesa buying on honda casa mismo. But upon computing and research un fully synthetic ng idemitsu which is 5w-30 is a semi synthetic lang ng honda and honda fully synthetic is 0w-20 or 5w-40
Yes honda oil is a repacked idemitsu. And you are correct na mas cheap sya kesa sa casa.
Idemitsu also has 0w-20 and 5w-40 fully synthetic. You can check their site here. Idemitsu Lube (S) Pte Ltd - We Care About Your Engine And Our World.
And about sa sinasabi mong semi synthetic lang ng honda ang FS ng idemitsu na 5w-30, they are not exactly the same oil.

Any proof that honda repacked idemitsu. Haha Anyway I double check idemitsu on the web yes found out they have semi synthetic with 5w30 but its coming soon in the site lol but some are already available in the market even in there site is coming soon. Hmm..
Anyway any reviews on this oil? Especially the eco one. There fully synthetic in unioil is the price of semi synthetic of honda hmm
Nakalagay sa mismong lalagyan na made by idemitsu. Upload ako ng pic bukas or if you want pwede ko isend sa email mo.
Okay yung eco nila, mas tahimik engine kapag naka idle saka may konting improvement din sa fc. Try mo din sir malamang magugustuhan mo din hehe. 1,720 price nya sa unioil.

Kahit dito na lang hehe thanks. 4liters ba yan 1,720?
The Layman Auto: What's with 0W-20 synthentic lubricant and will it last?

For a small price difference, go with the HX7 5w40 semi-synthetic. I used it before on my 2001 Accord. Just make sure to change oil every 5k km though I found it to be still ok after 6k+ km. Medyo may kamahalan yung HX5 or HX7 kung bibilhin sa Shell stations though if you can find them cheap somewhere, go for it. Kung gagastos ka ng 400 per liter ng HX5 or HX7, I would suggest you use Idemitsu synthetic 5w30/5w40 or Total Quartz Gold 5w40 synthetic instead kasi synthetic na tapos nasa less than 450 per liter plus up to 10k yung change oil.

Yung locally available Idemitsu synthetic oils ay yung Extreme Eco 5w30 at Extreme Touring 5w40. Both oils are rated API SM/CF. Nasa mga 1600-1800 per gallon yung price nito, depende sa dealer (mostly UniOil gas stations).
Total has its Quartz Gold 5w40 synthetic oil, API SN.
