got a reply from HI-TECH LUBRICANTS LTD. (Pakistan)..
ZIC A+ is fully synthetic engine oil which is produced by API Base oil classification group III and ZIC XQ is from group VI (PAO).
from OLX seller:
ZIC A+ 5W-30, API SN, 4Liters = P1,690
ZIC XQ 5W-40, API SM, 4Liters = P2,040
In general pwede API SN.
kung ano nakasulat sa owner's manual, yun ang minimum na pwede gamitin. so if API SL ang nakasulat, you can use SL, SM, SN.. but not SJ or older. basta Fully Synthetic, pwede up to 10,000 km yan.
Pwede pero there are other cheaper options gaya nung sinabi ko ci-4/sL
A fully-synthetic ay 30 to 51% true synthetic lang.
vs
700 to 800 pesos ci-4/sL semi-synthetic or mineral oil same 10,000kms.
Malaki ang difference.
********
Katok to the heavens abutin ng makina nyo. Go to bob is the oil guy and LSI forums for information.

A fully-synthetic ay 30 to 51% true synthetic lang.
ang alam ko at nababasa ko every 5,000km or 6 months ang inteval pag mineral oil. so pinapaabot mo pala ng 10,000km yung sa'yo?700 to 800 pesos ci-4/sL semi-synthetic or mineral oil same 10,000kms.
Yung Zic XQ idouble check mo kung nakalagay talaga 100% synthetic.
Same with Zic A+. Yung zic new zealand website pag binasa mo sa likod ng zic A+ nakalagay 100% synthetic pero sa harap fully-synthetic.
Namamanipulate ang term na fully synthetic.
Kaya ang pinaka-accurate eh check API rating at MSDS.
tama nga..
Other base stocks help semi-synthetic lubricant
API Group II- and API Group III-type base stocks help to formulate more economic-type semi-synthetic lubricants. API Group III base oils are sometimes considered Fully synthetic, but they are still classified as highest-top-level mineral-base stocks. A Synthetic or Synthesized material is one that is produced by combining or building individual units into a unified entry.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthetic_oil
group III are severe hydrocracked mineral oils, customized additive package to rival performance of true synthetics...
there is only one key factor that group III cannot compete with sa group IV and group V, resistance to heat breakdown...
more than 75% of asian countries still use group II engine oils...
group IV oils are double or even triple the price of a group III oil,

Subaru sM na kaya no choice gamit ka either sM/sN.

found the best combo for my application and needs...
B2-HPG baldwin filter tapos DELO GOLD 400...
i think lucrative kasi yung market na ito... people who are misinformed or is easy to be persuaded by advertising or ad campaign.
companies can really sell high price products that most regular vehicles don't need nor will even have the need for such high performing oils given their normal driving applications.
group III oils are sufficient or even exceeds requirements for most locally available models of vehicles.
kung high performance at high tolerance ang engine design, which puts tremendous loads and stress sa oils, then true synthetics are the only option, kasi custom tailored ang molecules nila for those applications... regular driven vehicles won't even reach a constant 150 degrees or more heat absorption sa oils..
