Hey guys, any feedback on Royal Purple Oil? It seems to be in the same price range as Motul H100. I wonder, does it give the same protection, and performance as the similarly priced Motul? And would there be Royal Purple's for diesel?

Royal Purple is good quality oil. Check mo itong thread: http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42843

    Eto naman website nila: http://www.royalpurple.com/

They specifically recommend the 15w40 for diesel.

based dito sa test ibig ba sabihin eh mas maraming napasang tests yun 10W-40 compare sa 10W-30? so mas maganda ang 15W-40 dahil mas marming tests na pumasa?

    royal purple motor oil test

    Multi-Grade Oils — Typical Properts1, Part 2

    SAE GRADE / API SERVICE
    ASTM Tests
    10W30
    SL

    10W40 CF-4,CG-4,CI-4/SL

    15W40 CF-4, CG-4,CH-4,CI-4/SL,CI-4 PLUS

The 10w30 and 5w30 is for gas engine only. Both are energy conserving oils. So your FC will improve a bit. Hard to put an exact number on your savings.

The 10w40 and 15w40 can be used for both gas and diesel engines. The 15w40 is a better for diesels.

some of the newer tests encompass a whole lot of other things din. basic rule of thumb is use the viscosity that is recommended by the engine though.

d'you know po ba kung ano ang viscosity for this?
if ever, available sana yung viscosity sa Royal Purple.

    IMm29, glad you think so

wrcastro_ph, parang nadaanan na namin lahat nun ah. hehe! RP has the most comprehensive lineup of viscosities to choose from which is why it's pretty impressive.

simplicity, you're best off using the 10w40. yup we have it and pwede yan viscosity sa promo.

snowbound, RP syn oil is 440/liter, RP XPR racing oil 850/lit, syn ATF 650/lit, syn gear oils 700/lit.

mbeige, yup meron. look for the 15w40 viscosity oil. complete API certification for diesel engines

actually karamihan yata ng change oil ay dyan din sa shop mo .. heheheh.. pero minsan ay kay "Drop it". I'll drop by to your shop again for the RP, due na din kasi ang Motul ko. I might go for 10w40.

i just recently chaged oil. from havoline energy to mobil1 now RP.

Hi Migs. Puwede ba mag engine flush muna, before pouring in the RP? I still have 3 cans of Caltex Flushing Oil left over, sayang naman. My last change oil is Mobil1 Fully Synth (0W50 yata - US made, not SG). What's your opinion on flushing?

    PM'd you on 40k PMS.
