The Caltex Power Flushing Oil works the same way as cheaper monograde oil used for the same purpose. It's not the type of flushing chemical added to your current oil then drained after 5 minutes. IMO, this is a less risky method of flushing. In my experience, it gets a lot of dirt out, but perhaps not as cleanly as flushing with the chemical.
Speedy, is it safe to use flushing chemicals every oil change? Or would that be overkill? When would you recommend we flush using chemicals, and not just ordinary or flushing oil?
They're using mineral oil most probably.

since I came from mineral oil, I don't know kung maganda ba talaga ang RP or kasi synt oil siya..but over all maganda naman...

November 14th, 2007 02:51 PM #27Mineral oil pro: good enough protection, relatively cheap, will last 5000 kms or 6 months some people change at 3 months.
Mineral oil cons: not as good and long lasting as synthetic.
Synthetic pro: excellent protection, can last 10,000 kms or 1 year. I think RP claims they can last longer than 10,000 kms.
Synthetic con: expensive

hinde naman masama ang syn oil, in fact kung mineral nga ok na rin eh what more kung syn oil, sinasabi lang na masama is baka magkaroon ng leak kasi luma na nga ang kotse, but hinde yun syn oil ang reason kundi sira na talaga in the first place yun mga seal, gasket, and since mas manipis ang syn oil compare sa mineral eh makaklusotyun mga oil sa mga gasket na hinde nangyayari dati sa mas makapal na mineral oil...

sa susunod magdadala ako ng laptop (may wi-fi sila!).
IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
