Faster Response on low- mid rev
improve fuel Consumption
no black smoke
no more egr cleaning

cons:

Tanong ko lang po mga sir, advisable po talaga na mag pa EGR blanking? Hulugan po ang sasakyan ko 5 yrs. Fortuner 2015 po sasakyan ko manual.

there are lots of tutorials on how to blank egr.. it can be done DIY. depends on type of vehicle. egr of kia engines can be difficult due to their egr modules have built in cooler and relatively large unlike with mitsubishi that use just a simple tube to direct exhaust gas to intake manifold

Some calls it egr blocking I call delete complete egr removal
On big engines I usually just disconnect the EGR harness in the morning when engine is cool after it's self ck mode cycle that's if you knew the egr is not sticking yet meaning egr still closing but will trigger ck engine light in most cases it will not cause power derate. Some use programmer and block off plates some just trick the delta p sensor or atmospheric pressure sensor or install new software on ecu
Never did like the Idea of egr gas or diesel think of it this way you fart then breathing back your on fart egr engine is more expensive to do overhaul than non egr identical engine not because of added parts but egr engine has to survive wear on piston,liners rings etc. I had a truck engine once that was loosing oil pressure after 10000 kilometers due to carbon build up on oil and plugging the filter the piston ring was getting worn yes but after deleting the egr I was able to run truck 25000 Klm without oil filter getting plugged up just to buy some time and it last me 9 months till we did the oh
I know for sure my engine is stronger and cooler without the egr
As for the manufacturer developing the egr they don't really have a say its the EPA controlling them. At some point a engine manufacturer actually will reprogram a egr ecm to non egr and sells the block off plates

I had my monty's (2011 gls v) egr blanked more than a year ago by zix.
I've been monitoring my FC, both city & highway trips, on my navigation screen & it appears to indicate that it has increased as compared to when it wasn't blanked yet.
For example, at the nlex yesterday with ave.speed of 100kph, I was only making 11 kms/l. I think I used to make 14kms/l before.
My ride has 30,000 total kms on the odo.
For those with blanked egrs, how have your FCs been?

Added info - I only use unioil for fuel, baldwin filters & full synthetic oil.

almost 1 year na din yung sakin bro. si zix din ang gumawa sa Innova. same FC sa city driving pero mas tumipid sa highway. dati highway FC ko 14 km/l, after blanking above 16 km/l na. yung 14 km/l na FC running fully synth oil (toyota) pa yun, yung 16 km/l ngayon, mineral oil (mobil delvac mx) na gamit ko.
