    I have a question but it's not about diesel engine...Pag gas engine ba tapos ni-rev ng mataas siguro around 5k rpm tapos may lumabas na konting whinte smoke eh does it mean ba na may prob na yung oil seal or piston rings? Actually hindi ko madistinguish kung puti talaga or grey or darker than grey eh...Pero di ba dapat pag nirev yung gas engine eh walang usok. Yung usok pala lumalabas lang sa tipong unang apak kada nirerev...

    Petrol engines is not my line but I will try to help you.

    Not always. Check simple things first.

    Actually hindi ko madistinguish kung puti talaga or grey or darker than grey eh...Pero di ba dapat pag nirev yung gas engine eh walang usok. Yung usok pala lumalabas lang sa tipong unang apak kada nirerev...
    White smoke is indicative of oil. Check/replace air filter. Check PCV. See if oil is present in the intake system. Is oil consuption high?

    Hope you can gimme some answers...TIA...

    how would you clean a diesel turbo intercooler properly (inside)? gasoline? kerosene? solvents? does a liquid engine degreaser safe for it?

    Not always. Check simple things first.
    Anu-ano ba yung dapat i-check? Idle is good tsaka wala naman lumalabas na usok sa oil refill cap tsaka sa dip stick...

    Ano ba yung PCV? hindi ko pa alam kung kumukunsumo ng oil ng malakas kasi balak ko pa lang bilhin yung car eh...

    This could be a sign of an injection pump going bad which is quite common to 4M40 engines, or a faulty glow plug system, or even both. We see a lot of these....

    walang ginawa for the past few days. except for loading up with Petron diesel last night. diesel being used before is seaoil diesel.

    diesel dude. i also thought that it could be the injection pump or the glow plugs. havent used the car for 5 days. then checked the water level earlier, it was low. then tried to start the engine, hard starting, a huge puff of white/light grey smoke came out. then added water and captured this:


    is it safe to assume that i blew my head gasket already? thanks!

    How often do we need to replace the injectors and have the injection pump calibrated assuming the car travels about 10,000 kms every year on the average?

    hi sir, nag baklas ako ng turbo para linisin, DIY, nakita ko sa isang website paano ito baklasin at linisin. naging maayos naman sir un buong process nang pag baklas at pag balik ng turbo. nakita ko na naka baklas ang isang tubo papunta sa intercooler sa harapan. ikinabit ko ito. double check ng mga connection ng tubo all are good to go. testing na. may bigla akong narinig na parang humuhigop sa harapan. lumalakas kapag tumataas din ang RPM ko. never ko itong narinig since noong nakuha ko ito. my ride is toyota-estima. un performance nya naman maganda, maganda po ang response ng estima ko at ok un turbo. maririnig mo ang turbo whislin at around 50kph and above. smooth din and shifting nya. I did blank the EGR and un parang throttle plate para gumanda ang takbo, gumanda naman po. un ingay lang sa harap. but i checked the hoses again. tama naman. I also downloaded the manual para macheck maige kung tama ang lagay ko.

    bakit po kaya maingay un sa harap? may sira/butas po kaya un intercooler?if ever, pwde po ba itong palitan ng mas malaking intercooler?
    normal po ba ito sa isang sasakyan na may turbo tulad ng estima?
