Kasi yung mga dating diesel pag after 10 years parang pangit na takbo....
Not only that, I saw a CRDI particularly tucson at pag bumuga ng usok akala mo factory. And just wondering, bakit option ang CRDI sa atin? Why not encourage going "green"?

Again I have to agree with Dieseldude. HUEI on the 4jx1 is significantly different from Bosch and the rest of the OEMs because it uses an engine driven oil pump to feed high pressure oil into the injector to pressurize the fuel. A high pressure pump is not needed (CP3 common rail pump). Fuel is fed to the injector at a relatively low pressure (50-70psi) and a solenoid controls the high pressure oil going into the plunging mechanism to ramp injection pressure up to 21,000 psi. Huei was developed by Caterpilar and used on the 7.3L Power Stroke V8.
t2ern is very a patient person, relaxed and systematic. He will need support before his patients runs out and burns the unit out of disgust. Natuwa nga ako when he posted about needing help. A 4jx1 that we can actually examine, evaluate and tinker with the permission and full support of the owner.
If successful, you will make a lot of people happy while earning good bucks. How does this sound?
Sounds good!Last edited by 4JGtootsie; January 7th, 2008 at 12:04 AM.

Technically, thicker steel is used for the bodies of diesel engines (due to the higher compression ratios) so it has the potential to last even longer than gas -- though injectors will probably have to be maintained more (due to higher pressures). I think this is the reason why there are a lot of REALLY OLD diesel trucks going around as well as a lot of injector/calibration shops and what not. Tama ba yung last dieseldude?
Pero with the introduction and anticipated further improvements in CRDi, even gas stalwarts like Ford and Subaru and Porsche (yata) are coming out with them.

Trooper lang ba ang may unique na common rail if given the same year? What about CRDi's in 1998 or below?iam3739.com

January 7th, 2008 12:25 PM #28Not only that, I saw a CRDI particularly tucson at pag bumuga ng usok akala mo factory. This is not normal. Something is probably wrong with it.
And just wondering, bakit option ang CRDI sa atin? Why not encourage going "green"? We have no choice on this. CRDI is here due to it's comformance to latest emission standards. CRDI is fast replacing all traditional diesel injection systems as it is supposed to be a "greener" engine. The traditional injection pump has become a thing of the past.

January 7th, 2008 12:48 PM #29Hi PUP2,
Technically, thicker steel is used for the bodies of diesel engines (due to the higher compression ratios) so it has the potential to last even longer than gas -- though injectors will probably have to be maintained more (due to higher pressures). I think this is the reason why there are a lot of REALLY OLD diesel trucks going around as well as a lot of injector/calibration shops and what not. Tama ba yung last dieseldude? Tama ka pup2. And not all diesel workshops can work on CR as the old calibrating machines are not capable of testing common rail systems. Diesel workshops will have to train and invest on new CR equipment if they would want to go into this field.
...... with the introduction and anticipated further improvements in CRDi, even gas stalwarts like Ford and Subaru and Porsche (yata) are coming out with them. Very true. CR is a very good system which we just have to be more familiar with.
Yoohoo. Saan ka na DOC?[/quote]

Q lang, Dieseldude.
I have 2 crdi vehicles right now, a 2.5 strada and a 3.0 everest. I also fill them up with the same diesel brand. What could be the reason for this?
Thank you!
