Oo mas safe at convenient yan, iwas pusoy. 2 years is worth it na rin naman for a MF battery.

When your alternator fails the spark plugs can only depend on the RC (reserved current) of the battery to keep running. RC is measured in minutes, that means after the alternator failed to supply the battery the battery have only that much time to keep on supplying electric charge to the spark plug. After which the engine will seize to operate, so its important to note the RC specification of the battery installed in your car. Turning off the entertainment system will help in this scenario

Diesel utilizes compression ignition that does not require battery charge. You can keep a diesel engine running without a battery, only after push starting it ofcourse for manual or jump starting it with another car for automatic. In the event the alternator fails, the engine will just keep on running. The only thing the RC could be useful for is your entertainment

We can only prolong the life of a battery by keeping the cells wet, we cant restore it back to its original glory as acids deteriorate the metalic component of every battery

Dapat sulphuric acid nilagay mo, that fluid contains more ions that facilitate flow of electricity

Distilled water is for topping up only because its presumed that the cell still contain lead acid

A dry cell is an open circuit, it wont facilitate flow of electricity, adding distilled water contains minimal ions that facilitaded electric flow so it has no adverse effect. You could have energized the battery more had you utilized sulphuric acid fluid instead

meron akong innova gas na 2005 model...
1st battery (stock GS high maintenance) - had it replaced after 6 years.
2nd battery (motolite gold MF) - more than 5 years in counting. kaya depende siguro sa electrical system ng isang sasakyan yung life span ng battery. my diesel fed TBZ's stock ac delco battery only lasted for 2 years.
