After only 14 months of use, the Motolite Gold started to exhibit hard starting and even stranded us at the airport by not starting at all. Brought it back to the dealer but they insists its very strong daw.

Decided to replace it with Amaron Hi-Life from a different dealer instead. This new dealer also tested the motolite and he says its weak-defective already. Btw, he also sells motolite batt.

I had the defective motolite brought to the motolite main office in Sampaloc. The guy tested it and concluded it is indeed defective. But his manager insisted the result is considered inconclusive bec. the battery must be installed in the vehicle first. But how can we do when the battery fails to start the vehicle in the first place? His reply: Ask people to "push" start the vehicle for us. The next day, we returned with the vehicle (Amaron installed). They didnt even bother testing anymore and said that we can get a replacement unit from the original batt reseller (dealer). We go to the dealer and now he says that we need to wait for stocks from the main office to arrive. Its been two weeks now and still no stock. Amazing.

I'm going to avoid Motolite from now on.

Wow, three plus years na pala battery ko and still going strong. Still no signs of weakening.

Just called Powerstuck! Medyo mahirap kausap yun tao dun. Was looking for amaron 3sm. Iba daw style nya ayaw ibigay model ng battery ang impt. daw warranty 17mos or 21mos. Basta 3sm amaron daw ayaw ibigay din ang plate capacity kun 95 105 or 115. Medyo na turn off ako sayang. Tsk.

When buying ask the seller when was the battery manufactured?

A battery that went out of the manufacturers assembly line and sit out for 6 months in the store shelf is not the same as the battery fresh out of the assembly line

Except for low maintenance battery where acid is loaded only when a buyer purchased it, thats why i prefer low maintenance than maintenance free

The time when the electrolytes were loaded to the battery cells determines how long a battery will last

    Good tip bro.
For sure the plate quality is different sa 21-months and 24-months warranty na models, but is the price difference worth it?

Battery ng Commuter ko 26 months na. Low maintenance Panasonic. Nag add lang ako ng distilled water recently. No signs of hard starting

From experience di na rin maganda Motolite, even yung Excel di umaabot ng 24 months. For me GS is still better.
