the battery will be recharged back to normal, once the engine is started and the alternator kicks in.
maliban na lang, kung nasira ang baterya dahil sa prolonged discharge. in which case, its remaining useful lifespan will be shortened. but you will know this, po. one morning in the near future, you will experience hesitation or even complete failure at starting.
i have a local, basic, no-frills battery charger at home. 2K yata or so ang presyo noon. i bought it when i acquired an AT car.

11.90V is approx. 40% battery power. Nag-start ba engine? If not, then need i-charge ang battery. If yes, no worries. Mag-charge ulit ang battery when you drive the car na.

I use automatic, smart battery charger. Can leave connected to car battery for extended time. No need to remove battery from the car. It switches to trickle charge mode once battery is full.

i have electrical background. that is why i do not fear using battery chargers. but today's chargers are oh-so-user friendly.. if one knows how to read and is not color blind, one should have no problems using one. and no, the battery does not have to be removed from the car, nor any of its connections removed, either. the charger's cables are easily clipped into place. a common problem, however, is the electrical socket in the garage.. sometimes, it is so far from the engine bay, one has to look for a long extension cable to connect to house current and power the charger.

i use the charger only so's i can start the car (15-30 minutes only. times may vary, depending on the charger's capacity.).
after starting it, my next stop would be the battery store, which, happily, is near the workplace.
with today's technology, when my battery has problems starting my car in the morning, it means that battery is dying. hence the trip to the store immediately afterward. the battery guys check the battery and charging system of the car, to make sure it is battery failure and not something else.

I recommend using in-car voltmeters para pwede ma-monitor ang battery power when engine off and engine on. This one is multi-function. It also serves as thermometer and USB charger.

the 11.9 volts is the battery's innate voltage. but as all voltmeters have an inherent +/- accuracy value, say, 10%, the actual voltage can be anywhere between 10.71 volts to 13.09 volts.
once the engine starts, the 13-14 volts measured is actually the alternator's output and not the battery's.
how can you get a more accurate reading? get a more accurate, usually also much more expensive, voltmeter.

Check mo rin ang voltage after you use the car and switched off the engine. Just enable ACC para magka-power ang 3-in-1 voltmeter mo. Then you will know kung nag-charge ang battery mo during your drive.

Similar pala sa automatic charger ko. With 6V and 12V switch din. 10A model yung gamit ko. Price P1,400.

Yes, correct. It is an automatic smart multi-stage battery charger. Kapag puno na ang battery, it will switch to floating charge mode. You can keep the charger connected or remove it when you want. Sa D3 din.
