Ang big question ko is availability of general parts (e.g. suspension). Does the Benni use suspension parts which are already in the market, or para sa kanya lang? There's a lot of 555/KYB suspension parts out there, kung meron nang existing parts na swak sa Benni, that will be a really big plus!

Engine is same as the 1.3 Swift (Maruti), so sana that helps with engine parts availability. Although 1.5cc VVTi ang Swift dito sa Pinas.

Yes it uses a 1.3 suzuki engine. Also got info recently that ChangAn Motors (Chana) also manufactures Ford and Mazda vehicles for China domestic market. For the suspension, I still need to do some research. I'm always here naman to give updates.

Saw that. Understandable, I think. The current QQ 311's interior quality is a cut above that of the Chana Benni. What the Benni has going for it is the more sophisticated Suzuki-based engine and the warranty. Or it had that. Chery has responded to market demands by finally offering a real warranty. In fact, it's a winner of a warranty... 150,000 kms.

Still waiting for our test-Benni. Just finished with the QQ. Unfortunately... it was kinda nice.

Well, TGP didn't say anything about overheating, but they complained of a weird engine surge thing, which is probably electrical.

But then, our test QQ also had some electrical gremlins, like a haunted speedometer. The haunted speedo, however, is an issue not unfamiliar to owners of some old Japanese cars, and merely indicates a grounded wire somewhere.

Yung engine surge, siguro yun yung tunog latang maririnig mo sa loob ng beny dahil ndi coated ng maige yung firewall. Malamig kasi sa China eh kaya kailangan nila ng xtra hiting sa loob ng auto. Kaya naman siguro nag-o-berhit din?

Pwde bng i-kompeyr yng old susuki teknologi sa bago say sa swift or sa alto? I gess ndi dba?

chinese car makers cant get into u.s. i think until they pass the emission and safety regulations. im somewhat interested in their development since in the end, more choices for us consumers.

pete, you are welcome to your views on chinese cars, but it will be better if you go beyond pressing your "overheating" question to death and provide details. that is if you have them.

even if you did confirmed that one overheated, though not a good sign, we cant generalize all chinese cars overheat right? also, try not to use text type here. otherwise, enjoy your possible short stay .

not a first hand experience... sabi lang... i'm not a fan of chinese cars either, pero medyo OA yung post. I saw the Benni before sa MIAS and for the price, pwede na... may warranty naman eh

Maraming salamat po sa mga payo ninyo, pu-pwedeng naman po sigurong mag-Tagalog na lang po ako dito't baka magkamali pa ako sa Ingles kong kaunting nalalaman.

Ayos lang tagalog pre, basta tunay na Tagalog. Hindi yung imbentong salita lamang. Eh yung english word ni-spelling mo lang ng mali, akala mo tagalog na (e.g. porum, en, pawers, sors, etc.). Mas binabastos mo ang wikang Pilipino nyan dre. Kung english word, hindi kailangan pilitin gawing tagalog. Puwede rin dito ang Taglish. Kahit makmukha kang kolehiyalang fil-am, at least mas madaling maintindihan.

Ok ang payo mo sa pag-check ng odometer. Pero kung isaang daan, mababa pa yan. Ang Toyota binabiyahe yan from Sta Rosa, so yung unit ko 127 ang odometer pagkabili. Ganun lahat nung stock sa Toyota Makati. Ewan ko pa kung saan ang assembly plant ng Channa, so yun distansya nun ang tamang milyahe sa odometer. Kung umabot na ng 500-1000kms, yun siguro kaduda-duda na.

Ang yaman mo talaga sir Cross. Pa-blackberry ka pa mag-surf sa tsikot. Sales ka siguro at marami kang benta. Ahente ka ba ng Picanto/Getz/Spark/Alto?
