It doesn't seem to me that the extra 250k shekels is worth it for the Superior Captain version.

(subsidiary of the Geely Auto International).

Malaking change behind the scene.

I read that ToyotaPh is giving out P200k discounts on the Zenix HEV. And the reason is heavy competition from BYD.

Not just the Zenix (which is being threatened by the eMax 7), here are the other discounts:

    INNOVA ZENIX Q HEV CVT - 𝟐𝟑𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎
    COROLLA CROSS GR-S HEV CVT - 𝟏𝟖𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎
    COROLLA CROSS V HEV CVT - 𝟐𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎
COROLLA CROSS G HEV CVT- 𝟐𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎
    YARIS CROSS S HEV CVT 2T - 𝟐𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎

It's definitely extraordinary. When was the last time Toyota PH offered discounts at this range and for this many vehicles?

The fact that this seems to be for the HEV's only means their new energy sales are being hit hard and they needed to quickly respond.

    Serves them right.
Those Toyota dealers were money hungry crocodiles during the initial release of these units. asking top ups just to get a unit.

Hopefully wakeup call ito for ToyotaPh to stop shortchanging the Filipino buyers by just relying on the T-badge alone.

Sana all their line-up will follow suit.
Their sales will surely left behind by these EV buyers due to EDSA Rehab.
    Let the price war begins.

I remember when we bought our Zenix last year...

Corolla Cross & Zenix HEV - kailangan installment
Corolla Cross GR and Altis GR HEV - halos regular clients lang daw makakabili

Pero the Yaris Cross HEV was available kahit cash... nag price drop kasi bigla ang Kicks which left them off guard.

So I guess ayaw lang nila mapag-iwanan ng sales, especially now that people are in the market to buy an odd-even/coding exempt vehicle.

I mentioned this post kay misis and she was so excited, I had to stop her from calling our Toyota agent... sabi ko next year pa due for replacement City namin.

May iba na turn-off daw kaya pinili nalang nila different brand.

For the Pearl White HEV - 1 unit per dealership
Altis HEV - months na daw na wala silang natatanggap

Pero its nice to see na nararamdaman na ng Toyota ang BYD. dati kasi wala sila halos competition locally.

BYD in 2024 was the #1 selling car brand in Singapore, #1 pa din sila Q1 of 2025
#6 sila in Thailand despite not having a pick-up in their line-up

Toyota needs to adapt or it will be left behind... pansin ko sa kabataan ngayon, di na important sa kanila ang resale value... and important sa kanila is maayos yung car habang ginagamit nila

Pero if us, china o korean brand, kung meron man mas maganda silang kuhanin na slightly used tapos yung odometer nasa 3 o 4 digits pa lang.

byd seal5 dmi. that coolant tank is the same setup like in the fords. plastic coolant lines in those fords the plastic becomes brittle and break, so coolant leaks and car overheats

no such plastic parts in the coolant path in the honda and suzuki that i currently own
