    Sir note_genius,

I think you need to talk to the head of sales where you bought your car and make a big fuss na. 7 weeks is too long to wait for your OR/CR papers. You're right I guess I'm really lucky with my SA and dealer (Chery Global City at The Fort) because I got my car plates after 24 days. It was the SA who advised me that my papers and plates are ready for pick up instead of the other way around. So now I can drive confidently and look at the MMDA and LTO guys straight in the eyes dahil no reason sila to check on my papers and look for kotong possibilities. I hope by now you've got your problems sorted out.

The newspaper advertisements also mention that the official car to the olympics is the Chery Hybrid something... Is this car a hybrid because it has a hybrid electric-gasoline engine, or is it a hybrid because it is a cross between a van and a car or something like that?

    tiggo upate:

a warning lamp in the form of a wrench lighted up on the dash board of jack ( my tiggo's name because i find it nimble and quick ) the other day.
I called chery buendia and they told me it just needed a change oil and will light up every 5000 km to remind me it needed a change oil. True enough, when I checked my km reading, it is 5027.
Went to chery san fernando yesterday and had jack a deserved change oil and other maintenance check up.
This is a plus point because you have a reminder that an oil change is needed. The down side of this is that you have to have your oil changed at chery because only their computer can turn that warning light off and you guys know how much in house service charge on simple oil change. Of course your local mechanic or the nearest gas station can change the oil but they can never turn that light off which could be irritating.
It is so unlike the lucida where all you have to do is push a little button to turn the warning lamp off or the Hummer where all you do is turn the ignition on but dont start the engine and push the gas pedal all the way to the floor 3x.

wow thats good to hear sir UD maybe time will come that mechanics in gas stations will know how to turn off that light so good to hear that only (or maybe i missed with some cars) chinese chery have this warning device whenever you need a change oil.. ang galing how much naman ang change oil sa casa ng chery?

sir did you try a 0-100kph launch on your car? if so, how many seconds po? hhehe wala lang curious lang ako na intriga ako kasi sabi mo fast ang nimble sya and sir do you have a km/l fuel consumption figure? para naman ma appreciate namin na matipid talaga sya

The icon looks something like this, don't tell me your Pajero does not have it. It should be color orange if things are ok and the icon should be gone if your engine has started. If its ON while you're running then thats the signal you need to change oil. It turns RED if critical na...

Chery now offers 5 years/150,000km warranty. Should boost confidence, but not mine. Mauna na kayo tapos kung ok talaga maybe 10 years form now bibili na din ako

    That was said, already.

Sounds interesting. Good move. Chana already initiated a long warranty with the Benni, good thing Chery followed.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

5 years warranty is good...if i have extra money i will buy chery cars to give them the chance in our market.. if all of us thinks na mauna na lang sila eh di wala na bibili ng chery cars paano pa natin malalaman kung matibay ito or hindi... ok sana mga chery cars but i think they are a bit pricey considering they are new players in the automotive market.. we also considered their v5 crossover yung parang mpv nila but the price is almost 900k and i think its too much tapos gas engine pa.. unlike toyota innova and kia carens offering diesel engine with D4d and CRdi engine at almost the same price..

Yup, but Im not sure if anyone believed me when I mentioned it...
Anyway, The long warranty was what saved Chrystler in the 1980's. When nobody wanted to buy american cars in the US, and everyonw was preferring Japanese cars, Chrystler, through Lee Iococa (tama ba yung name), created the industry's first 5 years warranty on their vehicles.

Today, it appears that consumer confidence in american cars have returned, so much so, that my brother purchases american cars in the US.

Its still the cheapest car in the market right now and it won't cost you an arm to get one. So yung mga former commuters na nag-aambition magkaroon ng kotse ito ang sagot. I am sure naman kung may pera yung bibili they would much prefer to buy a Civic or Corolla than this....

oh yes they do, even 80s cars has one but it is more an indication of low engine oil pressure than your regular every 5000 km change oil maintenance.

when this lights up, boy! something is terribly wrong in your engine.

nyahaha kapos sa pera how do you know that? Masyado mo naman minamaliit ang mga china car unit owners. Maybe you are super rich then GOOD for you.

I had mine (AMT) almost a month na sakin, i used it last weekend to go to Subic via SCTEX binirit ko to run at 150+ kph pero sandali lang asa 5K plus rev na. But i was suprised kahit maliit sya at that speed steady pa rin I was expecting na mag wi wiggle na sya sa ganong speed. my calculations sa highway is between 20-22 km per liter using Vpower of Shell/ Average speed sa SCTEX is 110-120 kph

Its on 30% DP at 24 months Zero interest. Excellent deal for me, my insurance is quite high compare sa iba kasi its a zero participation at 24/7 towing service.
