sabi ng isang book na nabasa ko sa stock market "no one became poor by taking a profit in the market." meaning, ok na yun basta kumita ka. kesa naman malugi dba? advice: try to go for a 10 percent gain sa capital mo. tapos pull out pag na-achieve na yung target.

think of it this way, if you have 5 trades with 10 percent gain each, eh di parang 50 percent na rin yun. ok na dba?

the key is discipline. mahirap gawin pero kailangan.

ideally ganito yun magandang gawin... the problem is people cant do it because of two things... patience and greed...

for me kasi, after the 10%gain, hirap humanap ng stocks na kikita ng 10% in a span of two weeks (there goes my impatience)... and sometimes kung naka10% ka tapos di mo bineneta at umakyat ng umakyat... greed naman... haaay buhaay...

sayang pa rin shares ko sa pxb... px at least i got back... akala ko magdidirediretso na kasi ang MIC eh...

the good thing is that patience and greed can be controlled. kaya naman eh. discipline lang.

if you read "Market Wizards" by Jack Schwager, the best traders are those who can control their greed and have tons of patience.

i get you bro. sometimes i have the same problem. pag out na ako sa isang stock, parang nakakatamad maghanap ng iba. im thinking why i should give up my present holding when i can let the profit run a little. pero madalas na-whipsaw pa ako and profit goes up in smoke hahaha

but in looking for a stock, di naman ako strict na dapat 10 percent gain ako or i look for something else. as long as attractive yung pattern sa chart, PASOK!

You can still get in to Philex. Investment house target price for this stock is 3.60 peso per share.

Copper hit a record high of $2.37 an ounce. Most of the earnings of Philex comes from copper.

Other stocks to recommend is Robinsons Land Corp and Petron. Very cheap stocks.

you can say that again! i also wanted to get PX on the dip, pero i thought pasukin ko na


fgen - IPO didn't take off as well as was expected. the other IPOs in the past, same thing, which leads me to think maybe i should avoid local IPOs in the local market altogether. but fundamentally, its a strong stock daw ha (according to stock brokers, who are more likely fundamentally inclined)

fph - consolidating in the P40 and P44 range. its been on a downtrend after peaking at around P54 last jan. now i don't know if the consolidation is just a pause before a continuation on its downtrend, or a possible reversal.

price to watch next week? for me for now, its ICT. i hope to hit my target for PX, and maybe even let the profit run a little, if im lucky.

ala naman, its been performing well lately. lots of good volume, which means may strength. broke out of its range twice. fundamentally, solid din sya. if the volume is high, i just might buy in also.

would you recommend AT instead?

i dunno... i promised myself not to trade this week, but i am accumulating AT until maging BJ na rin ako (sana lang)... hahahaha... i'll try to focus on my other business for next five days and lets see na lang on april 1...

AT- looks like its consolidating nicely between 6.75 and around P7. the MACD line is signaling a "buy long." if it breaks out from P7, i think that would be a nice time to buy in and jump on for the ride hehehe
