I make it a point to request to revert to previous limit tuwing may autoincrease and banks. Iwas tukso

Seriously? What banks are these? Kaya pala sa reddit halos lahat sila 7 digit limits in their 20s.

Ang alam ko strict ang BPI and HSBC sa approval and credit (at least during the time I got my card in the 2000s). I even got declined by BPI the first time I applied in the 2000s and my salary was decent naman (though I was new at my job)

re limit, I set it to a maximum per month like my BPI e credit card max P25k lang, then I can call naman if I want it changed. Iba pa rin yung may malaking limit that you can utilize hehe

Or is there a marking in the card that indicates it is?
same here, in my entire life never ako hindi nag full balance. I was young and wasn't qualified for a card yet when I started as supplement and my Mom always pays in full.

It's not even gold Kaya frustrated ako bakit hindi pa gawin P1M

Funny enough I have a card that I only use online and never had problems with, and another card I use physically which has been replaced 3x already. Anecdotal evidence that the problem isn't online shopping but unscrupulous people who handle your card (gas stations, restaurants etc).

Asar na asar ako sa mga tech stores not only do they make kilatis your card they ask for ID pa. Literally every bad practice that can cause fraud and identity theft is SOP nila.
We are what banks call "transactors" (always paying full balance) pero hindi tayo gusto ng bank. They want those that always pay in time pero minimum balance lang.

I don't sign my card. Pinaka ridiculuos when the cashier asked me to sign the card in front of her. I said, kung nakaw yung card, what difference does it make kung may signature or wala???

Baka malakas ka gumamit ng card? Years ago when I asked for an increase, I was told na I don't even use half of my limit.

i have been offered upgrade many times, even as i barely use my CC.
i don't know what criteria they use, to decide which to upgrade and which not to upgrade.

    if i have to guess,
it's probably a combination of how much i actually pay by CC, and how much money i have in that bank.

Couple of months ago I claimed my points para mabawas sa bill. Last month I got the ₱3k bill reduction.

₱3k for a year worth of purchases Sa BPI CC, while on my HSBC CC I just got ₱400+ rebates for my November purchases.

Laki ng purchases mo! 1k is now 20k points sa BPI, at 35/point, that's 700k purchase for 1k rebate, ung sau x3 pa!

I don't think aabot ako ng 700k x 3. As I said on my post, it seems they are not deducting the rebates I claimed. I visited my statement last year before and after my rebates claim last year and same thing, hindi nabawasan points ko. I think it's a system error. Baka singilin ako ng BPI nito in the future pag nakita nila bug sa system nila.

May problem talaga sila of not deducting the claimed points, kaya may advisory sila na mas accurate ang nasa VYbe if you are enrolled in it, otherwise you have to ask them exactly how much. It happened to me na. I think the reason you have a lot of points if you did not meet the spend required is due to promos which you may have unknowningly availed. I learned of this in the FB Vybe group.

I want to claim points na rin pero ayoko mag register sa VYbe kasi it's asking for my BANK username and password. I don't wanna risk it.

you and me, we are the minority.
    heh heh.

    btw,
can a debit card be a safer alternative?
I never ever use debit card kasi derecho debit nga. At least with CC easier to dispute.
