I was surprised when I saw my Dec SOA, BPI increased my credit limit. I didn't ask for it since I have no job and significant deposits for 3 yrs already. I am almost certain it's because I paid for my HSBC CC using BPI online and my HSBC CC has higher limit that BPI kasi. May view pala sila ng credit limit with other banks?!?!

Just got my HSBC CC last month. Mas mataas din binigay ng HSBC compared sa BPI. What I like about HSBC is the sms notification every transaction. I changed the minimum transaction to ₱1 for sms transaction para I don't need to use their app na to track my purchase. Their app is so basic masabi lang na may app.

Pero frustrated pa rin ako wala pa 7 digits limit ko. Sa reddit kasi parang normal na kanila P1m and up and these are people claiming to be in their 20s only. Wtf!

Nagpapa card check na kasi sa transunion. Kaya nalalaman limits and delinquency history.

Madami naloloko sa credit limit at target eh 7 digits. I know a few earning less than 40k pero nasa 7 digits each card. Akala mo mayaman, baon naman sa utang. Hehe.

I make it a point to request to revert to previous limit tuwing may autoincrease and banks. Iwas tukso

Sa tagal ko ng disiplinado sa CC, temptation is no longer an issue for me, mas worried ako sa fraud.

Curious lang, iba ba ang kulay ng 7 vs 6 digit CL cards? Or is there a marking in the card that indicates it is?

Temptation lang yan sa abroad but not over here, wala ka naman mabibili dito na need ng malaking credit limit.

Meron ako prepaid from BPI and that's what I'm using sa mga gas stations or mga places na mukhang alanganin

Same here. I've always paid off every CC bill in full on or before the due date, but intentionally keep my limit low to avoid fraud.

Funny enough I have a card that I only use online and never had problems with, and another card I use physically which has been replaced 3x already. Anecdotal evidence that the problem isn't online shopping but unscrupulous people who handle your card (gas stations, restaurants etc).

Asar na asar ako sa mga tech stores not only do they make kilatis your card they ask for ID pa. Literally every bad practice that can cause fraud and identity theft is SOP nila.
