Then, most of the time, naaachieve nila ang quota nila, so no need na magpakabait para makakuha ng extra deposits. Mas ayaw nila ng sobrang laki ng increase in their deposits, kasi mas tataas ang next quota nila.

Lahat ng banks ganyan. If you want good service, hanap ka mga branches na kulelat.
Captured clientele is right, kaya mayabang ang BDO.

Imagine, if you want to to do business in SM, you have to open an account with BDO and transact everything through them. There was a time pa nga if hindi BDO ang credit card mo and your card is swiped through their (BDO based) terminal, the transaction would fail...

Yun nga lang, walang "untouchable na business". Not too long ago, it was unthinkable to imagine Nokia being upstaged by rival cellphone makers, where are they now?

Lahat may hangganan, even a super power corporation can eventually fail if hindi nila alagaan ng maayos.

If mataas pinagaralan mo and kaya mo maghanap ng ibang work, then good.

But most employees gustong gusto sa SM. Parang it's their holy grail pagdating sa trabaho especially here in the provinces. Maybe iba sa NCR. Pero dito sa province, kahit alam nila mawalan sila work a month or 2 after every 6 months, willing to wait sila to be rehired by SM.

You don't have to bank with BDO if you are a tenant of SM malls. Hindi sya requirement. Pero very convenient kasi for a store owner. Within the mall lang pag deposit ng sales, sigurado walang holdup.

SM nagpapatakbo ng ncr. Lalo na pangpasada vios, jeep, van, bus all go to sm.

They are good pag usapang mall simple layout pati parking maluwag.

So be specific sa strenghts.

This is what I was afraid of, a breach without your participation, it might just be better to keep your cash in the house, after all, your 1M will just earn 1k a year or 83.33 kesos a month.

    doc,

Ayun tapos agad kahit alam ko naman and no more followup.

Passbook dapat for viewing lang online so cannot transfer. Kailangan dapat atm para pwede. Ano purpose ng governing body???? Parang odette lang niwiwipe out.

Kailan ko ba nacoined yung "saan ba grumadweyt" ito pandemic ko naisip yan not sure kung last year or this year. So weak so vulnerable. Nuod kasi ng nuod ng koreanovela kaya minamalas hahaha

Walking dead kasi tunay na tv series. Kita nyo covid & odette parang scene sa zombie apocalypse all panicking.

I have an account with no online connection, at least at my end. Yung may online/ mobile banking, restricted withdrawals at may notification for most transactions, even just logging in. Still, nakakatakot din talaga how exposed these accounts are.

What if sa Time Deposit, UITF or REITS na lang ipasok ang savings, mas safer kaya?

    they are probably "safer".
even the owner can't withdraw them that easily, kasi. heh heh.
but the key to a good heist is the computer program working for you.

Nothing is absolutely secure. It's all about managing risks.

Itago mo man sa bahay, pwede ka pasukan.
Sa bangko, pwedeng ma-hack, heist, o ma hold-up ka pag labas mo.

Kung nag-sara bangko, PDIC will still cover your losses but only up to 500k. If you have more than that, deposit them in multiple banks.

Online banking nowadays weighs more in convenience than the risks involved. Just manage it.

Cliché pero totally relevant: Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.

Eh di huwag kayo mag banko. Ilagay sa bahay para pasukin ng mga police at kunin yun cash na ₱30M like what happened the other day doon sa Japanese.

I remember a story, nung 90s ko pa narinig si maybe this happened 90s or 80s. A programmer for the software of atm inserted a code that whatever his card withdrew won't be deducted to his account. Nakapag resign na daw yung programmer before the bank found out.

    many years ago,
there was this overseas phone card company,
that had two lines of phonecard products, each with PIN.
i wonder how long it took them to find out,
that when one card's bala is used up,
all one has to do is use the PIN of the other card,
and it's good to go again!
pay for one phone card, but get twice the mileage by using two PINs on it.
    heh heh.
