Meronng OTP ang BDO pag 3rd party account and papaldalhan (BDO or non BDO). They will send you 2 text messages to confirm the money transfer.

Walang OTP kung sa own account mo illipat. Like if you have several BDO accounts tapos ililipat mo lang among those accts ang pera mo.

Sa BDO Pay app, walang OTP hinihingi.

Ang OTP daw is when you login on their website or when you register a device with the banking app. The transfer transaction itself walang OTP. Unlike BPI evey transaction kahit ₱99 peso load ng cellphone may OTP. I'm asking a friend to move her money to either BPI or Metrobank. Parang ang dami na na hacking incident ng BDO.

Sabi nga either inside job or sophisticated hacker. Hindi sya simpling phishing lang or yun sim swap lang.

There are at least three possibilities:

On one hand, this was really a security breach that involved unauthorized fund transfers and the victims are innocent.

Then there's the angle wherein the complainants themselves perpetrated the fraud and then claimed "victim".

Finally, it's possible that the "victims" were careless about their online security but they're too proud to admit it. So they blamed the bank for their folly.

50k is daily limit and each transfer sends an email to the account holder. The most hackers can do is quickly transfer before and after midnight. Although may mga tao siguro na hindi pinapansin emails from Bank or just don't have emails on their phones, Kaya hindi nila napansin at marami nakuha sa kanila.

    Ito nabasa ko sa facebook.

This post is to warn public:
When your gcash apps automatically log out without doing so, please do not enter OTP that you will receive. Hackers have a new way to get your funds. If this happen, call immediately GCASH Hotline 2882.

listening to one of the victims being interviewed over the radio.
the guy says that shortly before the unfortunate event,
he got a text message from a sender which he assumed was bdo.
the message said that he needed to update his "information".
    so he did, daw,
and shortly after that, he was informed by the bank, that a transaction had just occured.

It might sound easy to change password but I really find it hard because you have to remember those password changes especially with SSS if I remember it correctly you are required to change password every 6 months or 1 year and I had change my password a couple of times.
