Yes it's much faster to just use Brake Hold during stop lights. Just turn it on, then whenever you're at a complete stop whether in D or N, the car applies just enough pressure on the brakes to keep the car firmly stopped. The moment you step on the accelerator, Brake Hold disengages and you can go your merry way without having to press or wait for anything.
