Im not a fan of suction mounts sa windshield lalo na pag may tint, sisirain yung tint eh. What i did was:

BTW, standard ba ang suction/adhesive mount ng mga dash cam? Need ko kasi ng extra since palipat lipat dash cam ko between cars. Hassle kasi mag align pag nag lipat ako.

Ano yung tawag sa mounts ng mga GoPro and clones na kelangan para maikabit sa rearview mirror stalk (yung metal/plastic part from mount to mirror itself)? ayoko kasi ng suction cup

after several months napansin ko na advance na ng ilang minutes yung time sa sj4000 ko. both of them (i have 2).

Just ordered a SJ4000 wifi and an Aukey 4port 48W charger. Primarily a dash cam then action cam. Yung G1W sana kaso square-shaped yung mounts - wala akong makita online na nagbebenta ng mounts nun locally, and out of stock ngayon, sa Feb pa raw.

May nakagamit na ba sa inyo ng 64GB microsd? Wala pa akong inorder na microsd for it. Sa international forums kasi working daw ibang 64GB cards

re sd card, 32gb lang gamit ko, didn't need 64gb. kung may kailangan naman ako na important video i-copy ko naman agad din.

also, read something about sjcams supporting up to 32gb only but this could be outdated info.

Yung inorder ko pala, walang car charger Anyone knows kung saang stores nagbebenta ng long micro usb cables? edit: already bought 2m cables. Sana umabot kahit ireroute sa pillars

May upcoming trips kasi ako Manila-Laoag, then Manila-Naga - eh those routes would take around 10hrs one way, kaya am looking sana if 64GB would be sufficient. Meron ako ngayon Toshiba 64GB na nasa phone ko, subukan ko muna yun.

its a simple round mirror na mabibili sa mga car shops like blade/concorde, yung nilalagay ng iba sa side mirror para makita blind spots. Ford Eve boss.

If you have 4k to spend on a dashcam, this is the best dashcam to buy at that price range. the performance is exactly the same as the mini 0805. just search in youtube for "MINI 0805" or "A7LA50 + OV4689", those are the chipset and sensor used.

Story
I was supposed to buy the SJ4000 Wifi, for the primary purpose of a dashcam, and an action cam as secondary.
Cancelled it the last minute, then bought the X-Cam A7. Sa ibang 'action' siguro kakailanganin yung SJ4000

The store
Inquired at Qube Gilmore IT center kung may stock, sabi nila meron. Pagliko ko to Aurora, may napansin akong isang Qube branch din. Pagdating ko to Gilmore ITC, walang maparkingan, so ikot ulit to their Aurora branch.
Mahirap mag park ng tsikot paakyat nung Aurora branch, di makasampa so nag free-wheeling yung rear right tire ko. After ilang maniobra, nakapasok naman.

Inside Qube:
Naka display yung A7 and A12 dash cams nila. May sample video na nakaplay.
Sabi ko gusto ko muna i-inspect yung item bago mag decide. Yung display item pwede naman kalikutin kaso gusto ko i-check yung actual new item. Medyo natagalan kumuha ng stock. After dumating ng item, may receipt na naka-ready na toinks.
Natagalan din kumuha ng panukli na 10 petots. Item was 3990

Unboxing



Package includes:
1 x camera
1 x camera holder - connects the mounts
1 x mini usb cable (data?)
1 x car charger
1 x mount suction cup
1 x mount adhesive

Car charger is 12V 1.0A mini usb. Pretty long cable and you can possibly route it behind your pillar without needing an extension or splicing




The camera holder interfaces with the camera as the mount connector. It contains a USB port for the GPS module (optional). The camera holder also has a mini-usb port for powering both the GPS module and the camera



Suction feedback is strong for the suction cup, it can rotate 180 degrees. Did not tried the double sided adhesive mount

Video/image quality
Wala pa akong spare na microsd. Tried my phone's Toshiba 64GB and nag write naman sa card, walang errors or anything - contrary to the manual and salesman na up to 32GB lang daw supported. Probably next week

I further "folded" the camera holder upward towards the mirror so it is lesser "bulky" as you've said - when viewed outside, yung cam na lang ang nakikita and di na sya nakakasagabal compared to my attached pic above.

If yung camera mismo yung bulky, you can get the Mini 0805, limited ka lang yata to the double sided adhesive mount it includes. Ang maganda sa Qube eh it has a physical store for warranty claims and cheaper by 500 for the same hardware

Car charger cable is long and i've already routed them myself through the A pillar. not quite perfect pero it is clean looking and ayoko magbayad ng isang shop just to hide a cable

Mas OK I think itong visible ang camera compared sa stealth setup - Kotong deterrent and anytime pwede ko turn left or right towards the passenger windows. Tanggal nga lang when parking on unknown/unsafe spots, which is madali lang when using the included camera holder

i can see those mmda/TEs looking at my camera when i passed by them mostly on a busy slow moving intersections. visor lang kasi ang tint ko.
