Ive been using my android phone as a dashcam before.
Masasabi ko na sulit yung sjcam. Dual purpose pa kasi pwede pang outdoor activities ko.

I'm also using a phone as dashcam (AutoGuard Dash Cam) dahil nagtitipid nga.

But after an accident in which my dashcam video can prove my innocence in court, I'm going to get the best dashcam.

If my phone camera view was wider like of a dedicated dashcam, the impact could have been captured:

smartphones weren't designed as dashcams. for one, you will kill your battery within the year if you use it daily as a dashcam. and risk premature battery failure if you constantly have it plugged to a power source while the screen is on. possibly bloated batteries and also a risk of explosion.

di ko gets yung video. may video sa loob ng kotse pero may video din dun sa nagmomotor?

Nag bigayan nang video yung both parties. Sa case nung bag momotor, ang video is galing dun sa kasama nung bumangga.

ang problema kasi sa mga generic/unknown brands is mahirap madetect kung fake/counterfeit yung item. bumili kasi ako dati ng g1w, maganda naman ang review ni techmoan kaya bumili ako, pero nung pagview ko ng video sample sa pc, sobrang panget ng quality, VGA resolution lang na stretch to 1080p dun ko nalaman na fake pala yung nabili ko. so i suggest na sa reputable store kayo bumili at kung pwede icheck nyo yung video sample sa laptop, dahil pag sa built in LCD nyo lang titignan, di mo mapapansin na di pala ganon kaganda yung quality nung video.

sobrang panget picture quality ng sj4000 dahil ang luma na ng cpu and lens compared nito. itong sa qube sa nakikita ko, maganda ang chipset at lens ang gamit same lang sa mini 0805.

Looking to get another dashcam for my other car. SJ4000 non-wifi sana, but I don't need the action cam capability since I already have the SJ4000 wifi.

Any other dashcam in the 3k range that offers better image/video quality?

^ yung pinost ko na link sir jut. sa website may embeded sample video ng xcam. retails at 3.8k. though nagbabalak parin din lang ako kunin yan if ever. see if mas malinaw nga sa sample video kasi macocompare mo na siya sa current dashcam mo

Pareho lang eh. Atsaka action cam pa rin siya. Better sana kung mas maliit, kahit wala na yung waterproof function.

Yung Mazda 3 kasi maiksi yung stalk ng rear-view mirror. Hindi ko mamomount na katulad ng sa Altis yung SJ4000 or other similarly sized units so kailangan mas maliit na dashcam.
