Bro, are you activating the parking mode? Does it eat up too much of the battery? I got the DP220 model as well and I like the wifi option to retrieve videos/photos.

I think it is a good idea to hook it up to a powerbank, just to be sure you wont run out of power.

I'll test it pa muna after getting one.

if you're going to hook it up to a powerbank, your drivepro will detect that as a power source and it will continue to record until the powerbank runs out of juice.

Will test mine tomorrow then buy a long USB 2 cable (I guess around 4 meters) para ma-route ko ng malinis instead sa USB charger ko.

When I "Beta Tested" my DP220 at my elantra na may abang na USB cable at GoPro car charger, nagloloko ang Dp220. Minsan nagcha charge, minsan hindi. But works fine via bundled charger. I was able to confirm it works fine on ASUS powerbank and a better USB cable pero ang taba ng USB cable at ang laki ng fuse on both ends.

So when I finally mount it in wifey's Montero, ginamit ko na lang ang bundled charger. Mahaba naman siya. In fact, sa likod na 12v socket nakasaksak ang charger at pinadaan ko na lang sa "kisame" para hindi kita ang cable.

The g sensor would still trigger even if it is off but the built in battery must have charge.

if i can remember correctly sir, 2 amps ata yung kasama charger ng dp200 ko pero yun nga sinubukan ko 1amp gumana naman ng walang problema.

re dyan sa car charger cup holder, i don't have any idea sa price and i'm not even sure kung available yan saten.

Parking Mode's motion detect recording will not be triggered as long as there is continuous charge from powerbank. It will still be regular recording.

And during my "beta test", my 10050mah ASUS powerbank still have lot of juice to power dp220 after 12 hours. So I suggest you use 64GB SDCard para di ma overwrite.

By the way, not all powerbank support pass through charging. ASUS and XIAOMI are the cheaper brand which supports it, hirap lang maghanap ng genuine. In theory, kaya yata ni Asus na i power ang dp220 for a day ... Baka lang mag overwrite na ng old videos
