^^ Thanks for all the feedback regarding nighttime settings.

No windshield tint so default exposure settings seem to give me the best results. Upping the exposure to even +1/3 gives me problems with glare at night especially with light sources, ie oncoming vehicles headlamps and streetlights. The fact that I also have Phillips Xtremevision bulbs adds to this issue when it reflects on the plate number from the vehicles I'm following. The glare is so bad sometimes that it makes the plate numbers of vehicles in front of me unreadable.

I've also settled on 720p because I can set capture rate at 60fps. Will try disabling audio, as it is parang almost 1gb per 10 min yung file size.

I also ordered 5m long usb cables, will try some cable management once it arrives.

I have similar issue with glare.
I have 3M Magic Tint which is compensated by Osram Night Breaker.
Problem is, the glare from vehicles directly in front makes it hard to read the plate numbers. Even with the naked eye, its a problem.

Im using a 64gb adata sd card on my dp220 which I previously used on my phone at wala naman ako naexperience na error. Maybe bad card na yun nagamit mo bro

thanks for the info. baka nga compatibility issue lang. i used strontium 64GB sdcard na ginagamit ko sa tab at wala namang problem sa tab. i will try to get adata sdcard this time. did you format it just using DP220?

Im still waiting for the thinkware f750 to go down in price, maybe just convincing myself that i need one. who else here use their phone as a dashcam? And what app do you use? Im Using vidometer and dashcam btw.

Does your SJ4000 heat up after driving for 1 hour? Does activating the 'screensaver' so that the display will turn off when recording helps?

I drive for several hours a day, and my SJ4000 doesn't heat up. Yes, I have the LCD turned off when recording. Di ko naman titingnan yun while driving, distraction lang.

Di na ako nagfomat. Just deleted the data using my computer then diretso saksak na sa dp220

Unfortunately, since horizontal ang mounting sa windshield, nama magnify ng car mount ang vibration. Further complicated by the fact na narrow field of view ang note3 lens. And of course, tangal kabit since my windshield is not tinted. On the bright side, mas clear ang image as compared to dp220 on my suv.

Unfortunately, since horizontal ang mounting sa windshield, nama magnify ng car mount ang vibration. Further complicated by the fact na narrow field of view ang note3 lens. And of course, tangal kabit since my windshield is not tinted. On the bright side, mas clear ang image as compared to dp220 on my suv.

Here's mine, good thing the mount is quite secure, less jarring and movement on the video





Ill go with the fxd700 with rear cam, just need to save a little more

Bro, I dont use a mount for the smartphone. I use a cheap dashboard mat to hold it in place. I think it is either the stabilizer in the Note4 or the anti-flicker in the app.

longest drive ko around 5 hours taguig to la union. warm to the touch pero hindi naman nakakapaso. still working and no problems yung sj4000.

i usually drive taguig to laguna 3-3.5 hours tanghaling tapat, no issues din.

screensaver (lcd off) set to 3 mins.

i just remove the camera (pero iwan yung suction saka yung parang holder) whenever i park under the sun.

Warm lang din akin 3-5 hours driving na tirik na araw. Screensaver ko 30 secs lang at pag iiwan ko sa parking na katapat yung araw naglalagay ako ng sunshade then iwan lang yung cam.

I am regretting doing 5 min clips sobra tagal i-dl via wifi. So, I am downgrading to 3 min clips.
