hello everyone, hope everyones doing good .
planning on getting hid retrofit by next month. innova 2017. Torn between stage 2 and 3. I have to admit wala ako idea about components but looks to me that stage 2 is almost like stage 3 except for the bulbs where stage 3 uses philips or osram na plus quality ballasts. is it worth the extra 4k to 7k to go get the stage 3 na? initially planning to get stage 2 kasi di naman ako madalas mag night drive pero baka kasi sulit naman pag matibay na bulbs ang nasa stage 3. Then palitan nalang ng Philips or Osram pag napundi na. Thanks

2017 is the same body as the current model diba?
Bear in mind na retrofit for this model requires a lot of cutting ang breaking of housing. Hindi kasya yung base ng projector. Lalagyan ng additional bracket or papaliguan ng epoxy. Replace headlight talaga. Also, may wire splicing involvedSent from my MI MAX 2 using Tsikot Forums mobile app

Correct sir, same body ng current (2016-2021) models. Okay thanks for that info. I don't see that info elsewhere, i thought it is as simple as exchanging reflector bowls with 3" projector lens. Noted and thanks.
But assuming I am willing to take the risk. Stage 2, Hella G5 BRT, Heartray D2s. Hylux ballast
Was planning on getting mine retrofitted pero turned back dahil dyan. Hella g5 brt din.
The brands you mentioned are known sa retrofitters. Assuming orig nakuha mo, you cannot go wrong.Sent from my MI MAX 2 using Tsikot Forums mobile app
Thinking of having projector fogs instead Sent from my MI MAX 2 using Tsikot Forums mobile app
Pinagpipilian ko kasi stage 2 and 2.5 eh.thanks

If u had practicsl use for the foglamp like nasa bundok ka na mafog, go ahead. Additional lighting wouldnt be bad.
Pero kung porma lang naman (like most foglamps) at nasa city ka, useless.
Then again... your car, your rules.Sent from my MI MAX 2 using Tsikot Forums mobile app
Plug and play lang sya so it's the least invasive option to get better lighting. Headlight HID upgrades require splitting apart the headlight assemblies to install new projectors. It might also not be compatible with some brands' auto-leveling mechanisms.
Hmm come to think of it mukang wala nga magagawa ang projector fogs for me. I have an older retrofit (NHK Q5 with Philips bulbs) na halos 5 years na. I pass by Araneta ave at night everyday na wala masyadong street lights and nabibitin ako sa nakikita ko. I use an altis so medyo mababa talaga ang position ng lights and mas malapit ang maabot nito lalo na if hindi even ang roads. I should just switch to high beams before intersections haha. thanks for saving me money guys!
about "lightest tints".
i have two near-identical vehicles. one has no front tint, and the other has lightest tint, c/o first owner.
and i tell you, driving at night,
whatever else anyone says,
"there is a difference".
in the very near future,
i will have the tintero guy remove it.
Both our cars have light front tint for privacy. The Mazda's stock halogen projectors were so weak that the beam wasn't visible on wet asphalt. Upgrading to a stage 2 HID fixed it. On the Subaru however the stock reflector H4s are perfectly fine in similar conditions so no upgrades are slated for it.
