Philips X-Treme Vision Vs. Osram Night Breaker Plus

A pleasant day to ALL po...

Kakapagod mag basa, from the start, talagang tsinaga ko po. ^^ Pundi na po kasi yung Low Beam ng Mitsubishi Adventure 2006 ko, factory bulb pa po,
So 6 years ko na po ginamit, ok pa High Beam. Mag papalit na po ako, and base sa mga nag usapan dito, plan ko na po bumili ng PXV, kaso naghahanap
pa lang po ako kung san mura, 2500 po kasi sa Blade, SM Lipa( Lipa City Area po ako). Pero pinag iisipan ko pa po yung sa kinukuhanan ng Company namin, Wurth po sa agent, halos lahat ng sasakyan ng mga officemate ko ay Wurth, 90/130 watts, P1200each, additional gastos sa relays, wirings and change socket sila, pero ayoko gumastos pa sa mga ganun, need ko talaga ay ung basta na lang i-plug, may inaalok sila Wurth 55/60 din na all weather, pero sabi ng iba, same lang daw ang magiging output nito sa nasira ko, all weather lang talaga sya...nway, ok po kaya itong PXV sa Adventure 2006 Model ko...and ano po kaya maganda i-partner?, i mean sa fog light ko, still working pa din po ung stock fog light, pero willing po ako magpalit pag napalitan ko na ng PXV.

mahal talaga sa Blade. nung naghahanap pa lang ako, sa Blade ang pinakamalapit na me new (or NOS) stocks kaso ang mahal nga. P2,500++ if i remember right. i can't bring myself to buy from there knowing na P1,200++ lang ito sa banawe/sgt. rivera.

so far, i'm a very satisfied owner of the Philips Xtreme Power. I chose this over the Vision based sa mga nabasa ko rin dito bago ako nakabili. mas maganda raw ang visible light output nung PXP. on my next change, baka i will try the Osram NB+. mas marami kasi ito sa market at comparable sa Philips na rin ang performance reviews.

Need inputs on which is the better option to go for my case.

I have CX9 which has stock projector halogen H11 for lowbeam; and halogen 9005 for highbeam. For me, lighting power is not sufficient for the low beam. So my requirement is to have more powerful lighting especially on lowbeam. So am thinking if it's better to:

1. Change H11 bulbs to Philips XV or Osram NB+;
2. Or go for H11 HID plug-and play;
3. Or go for complete HID retrofit

So which do you think is better for my requirement, and why. And pros and cons if any. Kindly share your opinions and experience on this.

Also, is it easy to DIY #1 or #2? Any special instructions?

If budget is not an issue, go for complete retrofit. Quad projectors set up ka na. Parang tanghali na siguro niyan kahit gabi.

If you choose number 2 hindi rin gaano kalaki ang brightness na maidadagdag kasi your projector is designed for halogens. Yes walang glare pero ang projector na made for HID ay may wider and maybe more intense output. If budget permits go for a projector retrofit. Quad setup kung galit ka sa gabi hehe pero no need for quad dahil yung normal retrofit lang will suffice.

My friend has a Philips XV installed on his Pajero FM and estimated 80% output in terms of light intensity ang nadagdag nung XV, output also became a little wider.

Dun ako sa option 3 if you really have money to burn. Pero kahit di na quad set up. I still prefer yun may halogen high beam parin, parang spot light kasi yun tsaka mas effective ipang flash sa mga pasaway

No sir stock HLs lang. I just thought I'd give you an idea of the output of Philips XV on stock lighting hehe.

If you decide to go for retrofit, better to keep your HI beam stock para may pang flash ka as HIDs are not meant to be used as flashers (on and off), they will shorten the bulb's lifespan.
