fxr bixenon projectors
philips 85122+ bulbs made in germany, the + indicates that these bulbs will not color shift during it's service lifetime
apollo shrouds
Gen4 Matsushita ballasts oem made in Japan
the reflector bowl was repainted flat black, I made some adjustments with the wiring as the ballasts were mounted oem style. The harness was designed in such a way that a single 6 pole socket connected the whole headlight assembly with the main wiring harness. For maintenance purpose, this is tops and also mas malinis yung wiring. Ganito wiring ng Focus and some Subarus I did. There is a separate circuit for left and right and both sides. fused and relayed. The OEM harness was not spliced in any wayThe lens was also pitted on the outside and some oxidation in the inside. Both lenses were buffed and restored using Novus/Meguiars products.

October 25th, 2010 03:25 AM #253road output, LO
you can see the advantage of a proper HID setup, on the passenger side, a straight plane projects forward and on the driver side the output dips down so as not to
blind oncoming traffic.
the eve has a stock fog setup with h11 hid bulbs:
you can see that the concentration of the fog light is just a few steps in front of the bumper with not much of usable light. No light is needed immediately in front of the bumper especially when the vehicle is moving so the dark spot in front of the Eve is normal and this is really the output of all HID projectors. Reason for this also is that if too much intensity is present immediately in front of the bumper, light bounces back to the eyes of the driver which has a negative effect.
HI output, road

I have a question ...
Bakit ang galing mo ? :hysterical:
Kidding aside ...
Wont the repainted reflector affect the light output kahit na lets say, hindi pa siya retrofitted ? ....

October 27th, 2010 12:04 PM #256renzo: thanks for your kind words bro. re: painting, hindi bro coz yung output is completely handled by the projector and wala nang use yung reflector housing pero kung wala siyang projector then yes coz the light of the halogen bulb will be absorbed by the black painted reflectors(and not be reflected) and mawawala na yung output.
brell: people like you and kent1023 make retrofitting more enjoyable. welcome and thanks rin!
