September 16th, 2010 10:46 PM #13I started using V-Power diesel about 2 weeks ago in my 11 year old pick up and is there a difference? You bet there is. Better fuel economy, stronger acceleration and smoother idling are at the top of my list. They said you have to use it continuously for a period of time before you can feel the difference so let's see in a month's time if there will be additional improvements.
I haven't tried Petron's Turbo diesel because of the limited stations that carry them but I would like to try it to compare it with V power. I just don't know if the P3 difference between the 2 will be worth the performance gain. And you have to admit it, the freebies you get from filling up V power is a welcome addition. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for free stuff. Best things in life are free!

September 23rd, 2010 01:59 PM #15Ganito ang ginawa ko on my tucson:
1. 2 full tanks of petron turbo diesel
2. 2 full tanks of shell v-power diesel
3. change oil
4. 1 full tank of petron turbo diesel
5. 1 full tank of shell v-power diesel
Acceleration improved and idling is smoother for both brands compared to ordinary diesel. Pero I liked the throttle response of shell v-power diesel compared to petron turbo diesel...medyo pigil ng konti sa petron TD pero mas peppy sa vpower. Tried observing it both in highway and city driving.

Pareho lang FC ko with V Power Diesel. Mas smooth at tahimik lang makina.
Petron Turbo Diesel for some reason hindi maganda sa D4d namin. Ang gaspang.

Never tried either since wala naman akong diesel car.
Pero basing from the fuels of both companies ( petron & shell ) no questions, i`ll go with shell.
