Almost a week old Yaris. From Sta.maria - Bocaue Bumper to bumper and potholed roads. Nlex to A.Boni (traffic from cloverleaf to Mayon). And Blumentrit to Dimasalang (being excavated, mga 10 - 20 minutes wait sa 100 - 150 meter stretch). Then Back again.

    Feul: Petron Blaze
    Ave. Fuel Consumption : 10.28km/L

May natira pang two bars sa tank ko. Crude computation lang. I will renew it once mag blink yung fuel meter ba yun.

Will be trying Petron XCS and see if I will get a better fuel mileage

MT. Tapos ang grahe namin very steep.

So I tried filling my car to the brim and had my tires inflated to 31 front and 33 back. Reset my Trip Meter then off I go.

2 lang kami ng GF punta tagaytay... walang traffic, halos 5th gear ako most of the time kahit dun sa mga paakyat, except pag yung mga palikong delikado, downshift ako 1 gear. Yung byahe sa SLEX pinaabot ko lang hanggang 90 para di naman nakapako sa 70 coz I'm really trying to aim for a good FC since it's purely highway driving.

    Some info:
    - 2007 Hyundai Getz 1.1 M/T
    - Top speed 90kp/h , 70-75 km/h most of the time paakyat
    - Pababa, minsan I don't even step on the gas but If I do, I still maintain 70-75 km/h
    - Change gear at 1900-2000 rpm
    - no stop overs along the way
    - Route is Alabang to Tagaytay (hanggang Casino) then pauwi is Tagaytay to Pasay. SLEX until Bicutan only since sa Villamor ihahatid ko, had to take the service road.
    - purely highway driving except nung papagas na ako pauwi e 1 km from the gas station (Shell Sun Valley) may eng-eng na lasing na taxi driver na binangga yung pagitan ng SLEX and service road wasak na wasak so walang madaanan and I had to idle for 5-10 mins at 5 am!!!
    - ODO at 2100 KM

Nagpagas ako ulit ng pauwi na, filled to the brim to be as accurate as I could be.

    Results...

    112.3 kms
    5.66l Shell Extra Unleaded
    ____
    19.84 km/l

tuwang tuwa si GF 200+ lang pinagas namin sa layo ng byahe...

    My car's a 2005 GD1 Honda Jazz 1.3S manual.

My usual fuel economy ranges from 11.5-13.5 km/L during my daily commute, although I usually drive it hard.

Best fuel economy I got was 28.024 km/L on a trip from C5 to Baliwag and back. Constant 100 km/h on the NLEX, overtaking on Baliwag-bound roads, then overtaking at 120 km/h on NLEX going back. I was driving alone.

A similar trip to Subic, while fully laden with passengers and cargo, netted me 17 km/L.

IIRC, Pocholo Ramirez did 1114 km on a Honda Jazz (42 liter tank) which means 26.5 km/l economy-mode driving. You could give the Racing Legend a run for his money!

1994 Toyota Corolla XE 1.3 carburated engine
9-11 kilometers per liter city driving.
I get 11 kms/liter kasi at night drive hindi nako naka-AC and lesser traffic.

Never pa akong nag-hiway sa car ko so I would know the hiway FC.

My ride is Jazz CVT 1.3 and I computed my fuel consumption during my last travel to Manila-Subic-Manila as 18.4 Km/Liter. Uses unleaded from Petron, average speed is 80KPH, mostly at 2000 RPM.

    as promised:

    i use a freeware called "mycar-monitor" from http://simadcom.atw.hu

    notes:
    1. the car is a civic98 (1.6L, manual)
    2. used shell velocity from nov '06 to around mar '07. shifted to petron xtra unleaded and/or xcs mar '07 onwards. noticed that petron gas gave me better mileage (especially xcs)
    3. 9-10km/L is for pure city driving (valenzuela - makati and back via mcarthur highway, abad santos. sometimes via edsa, usually 2-3 passengers, 40-60kph only)
    4. 13-14km/L is for mixed city and highway
    5. 14-17km/L is for highway driving (manila to la union and back on nlex, mcarthur highway, trunk full of gear, 5 passengers, around 80-90kph)
    6. simota air filter, generic grounding kit, motul and now royal purple oil. everything else stock.

Ang akin is an omega opel B 2.5 V6 but believe it or not I get 11-13KM/L out of it especially long distance driving..I cant even believe it myself when the previous owner told me that he only spends 500 pesos for 4-5 days from makati to mandaluyong until I experienced it...Now im totally satisfied with my car..
