Sorry. Noob here. How do you measure your average fuel consumption ? I used to fill up say X liters then zero the meter. When the fuel indicator turns red and I went for a refill, I compute the fuel based on the previous fill. Is this correct ? My last measure was 11 km/li using this method.

    1. get a full tank.
    2. reset your tripmeter. tapos drive around.
    3. then get another full tank.
    4. take note how many liters ang ikinarga
    5. take note how many kilometers ang itinakbo mo (tripmeter)
    6. divide number of kilometers by how many liters

    para clear:
    1. get a fulltank
    2. tapos drive around for a while
    3. get a full tank
    4. note the number of liters (ex 40liters)
    5. check the tripmeter (ex 350kms)
    6. 350kms / 40liters = 8.75km/L

quick question: paano kung hindi ako makapag-full tank (step #3)? tama po ba na i just continue counting the kilometers and then kapag nakapagpa-full tank na ako, i add the number of liters na ipinakarga ko previously (yung hindi full tank)?

    para clear ulit:
    1. get a full tank
    2. reset tripmeter and drive around for a while
    3. pa-load ako ng 10 liters (kunwari di ko pa kaya i-afford full tank)
    4. drive ulit
    5. get a full tank (ex 30 liters)
    6. check the tripmeter (ex 350kms)
    7. 350 kms / (30 liters + 10 liters ) = 8.75 km/L

    tama po ba mga gurus?

Tama p rin yan. Basta from the 2nd to last last full tank to the last full tank e nakuha mo yung total tripmeter ska yun total na liters na nakarga mo.

Yep. And consider getting the avarage from your results in a span of a month or so.

My 2006 Hyundai Sonata comes with a trip computer that shows the current gas mileage in an lcd screen, among other statistics.
