Ang napapansin ko lang pag ako gumagamit E10... nararamdaman ko na kapag na-idle ang engine nanginginig siya at kapag umaapak ka sa accelerator.. prang di swabe.

E10 blended petrol has some properties that does not goes well on some car components. Unang pumalag sa car ko nyan is my fuel pump.. had a whistling sound na unti-unting lumakas habang cge gamit ko ng E10!
Now i refrain using it!

i would just like to share my experience..
ever since i got my S3, i have been loading up on E10 from Total Alabang. i get a measly 7 kpl for this, plus the engine is a bit noisier and acceleration is so-so. i have been ignoring it, because, what the heck... i am using my car up to makati only (from las pinas). pag nag 100 kms na yung odo (trip) ko, below 1/4 na.
last saturday, from an empty tank, i loaded up (full tank) of XCS. and went to Fairview yesterday morning (or around 53 kms one way from my place). when i reached my destination sa Fairview, konting-konti ang galaw ng gauge. when i went back to my place in Las Pinas, or around 104 kms, nabawasan lang ng onti ang fuel gauge. i estimate this to be at the 10-11 kpl consumption. gumanda ang acceleration and tahimik na tahimik ang makina sa idle.
it means that even though your car is an EFi, meron pa ding effects yung E10 sa makina and consumption.
just sharing.

Just a thought...
For those using Auto-LPG, given we have E10-gasoline in our tanks which doesn't get used for a long time. The ethanol component of E10 has a characteristic of absorbing water over time. Shouldn't this be a potential of rust to happen if we don't use up the contents of our gasoline tank every few weeks?

I am not an e10 convert yet. Reason why I don't gas-up at Shell anymore....(Dati, Shell ako)..... Doon na lang ako sa Caltex(5% rebate on HSBC) or Petron (3% rebate on BPI-Petron MC) in that order of preference....

sir redeemed. yes i discontinued using E10 at balik sa premium petrol, nawala yung whistling sound gradually. thought had the pump damaged kasi iba na talaga ang level ng tunog. it was my neighbor who spotted kung saan galing yung unusual sound. dating SA ng toyota who now works with hyundai in the mid-East.
out of curiousity lng kasi noon why i tried using E10 kasi compatible daw sa EFI engines but then it didn't work, sa fuel pump ako ngkaproblema.
cheers
Thanks, will research more about it.
