Unleaded gasoline with 10% ethanol for me have been a cheaper substitute for unleaded gasoline for me. Right now it's costs P53.07/L from Shell and Petron Stations. I was just wondering would you or will you use it on yours?
Yes?or No?
No problem with E10 gasoline
I have reduced fuel mileage with E10
I have reduced engine power with E10
My engine is not compatible with E10.
I have other problems (not listed) with E10.

If kapos sa pera I would use it, pero in general kung may unleaded naman I still use unleaded. Pero either way, it works for me...
Yes! I already use this for almost 8 months (for my lancer 2006).. performance to your engine is the same, specially on city driving, the fumes of E10 was different from unleaded medyo mabango sya. E10 is also unleaded.![]()
yes
have been using E10 ever since Shell started selling it...
i've tried Petron's E10 na din.
I've tried it. Noticed that I get better km/liter readings using the non E-10 unleaded fuel of shell on my Honda City. It could be particular with my ride though.
ok naman, but on my maxima, petron's e10 is better than shell's e10--kasi 95 octane ang sa petron than sa 93octane ng shell. same performance parin naman pag petron as if i was using xcs-plus nila.. ung sa e10 ng shell, nag-degrade to the level when i was using 93 octane unleaded...
halos lahat ata ng fuel ng shell is 93 lang, vpower ata 95 daw.. pero sa petron kasi 93 ung unleaded, 95 ung xcs-plus, 96 ung blaze...
caltex ba wala pang e10? seaoil sabi nila e10 na daw fuels nila bero, same price as regualr prenium/unleaded sila,e...
YES
Im using Shell's E10 and I'm very much ok with it. I'm using it in my 2007 Kia Sportage and I'm getting 7km/liter out of it.
Any report on which E10 is better? Petron or Shell's?

Yun lang kinakatakot ko baka magcause ng damage sa engine after prolong use of e10..d pa ata made for ethanol ang mga engines ngayon..and i have an aunt who works for petron who said should stick with unleaded dahil until now di pa rin proven ang magiging effect ng ethanol sa engines..sayang lang kasi yung matitipid mo na P2 dag-dag ilang liters rin yun..hehe..studyante lang ako e..and i drive a 2.4 crv which drinks alot more than i do..i think they should give student discounts para samin..lol![]()
Ive been using E10 since about 4 years na since Seaoil first introduced E10.
Seaoil's E10 formulations at that time had the highest octane ratings - Regular E10 was at 95+ and Premium E10 was at 97+, higher than any other fuel in the market. In time, they lowered this to the now prevailing 93 and 95 octane ratings. What's amazing is that Seaoil is the only one with a Premium E10 blend. It took about 2 years more before Shell introduced their E10 fuel.
Anyway, Ive shifted to Shell because their E10 eventually became cheaper, and because the service (water and air) were much better.
My Lancer GLXi 1997, has been running really great on E10 and has had no problems with the engine. Ive run it all the way up to Baguio on Seaoil's E10 fuel...
Today however, the E10 merely supplements the LPG fuel which is the main fuel of my car. It's been on LPG/E10 for a year now with no problems whatsoever.
Today, E10 fuel is even cheaper than PUV Diesel!

Just a thought...
For those using Auto-LPG, given we have E10-gasoline in our tanks which doesn't get used for a long time. The ethanol component of E10 has a characteristic of absorbing water over time. Shouldn't this be a potential of rust to happen if we don't use up the contents of our gasoline tank every few weeks?
haven't tried E10 for my 09 innova.. will do so if prices keep on zooming up!
oh $##t , kaya pala pumapalag un car (mazda 323) E10 na nga pala ang petron. mejo matagal ko na din napapansin pag naka idle sinisinok at mabilis maubos ang gas. ubusin ko muna ang gas ko then shift ko ng xcs, let you know guys kung may pagkakaiba.![]()
My car is (ironically) having problems with Shell Unleaded E10. My gasoline system is clogged. Its getting serviced now.
BTW, runs 100% fine in Auto-LPG.
Before when there was E10 premium in Petron, I had no problems with E10 in my Nissan Sentra N16 2007 model... yun lang nung binabaan yung RON to 93, parang E10 na rin ng Shell.
Ethanol gas can damage car engines—Petron

MANILA, Philippines—Oil refiner and retailer Petron Corp. has warned that the current ethanol-blended gasoline (E-10) could damage car engines and urged the Department of Energy to come up with clearer specifications for the fuel blend.
Petron chair and chief executive Ramon S. Ang said they had received many reports that the current blend is “highly corrosive.”
According to Ang, the company wrote the DoE last month requesting new guidelines to help protect motorists.
The Philippine Daily Inquirer was unable to get a comment from the DoE as of presstime. The E10 blend is still being sold in gasoline stations.
Ang said in a briefing that the alcohol mixed with gasoline could do much damage to a car’s gas tank, fuel pump, carburetor and fuel injector, among others.
The problem, he said, was that the government did not specify that there should be a dehydrator to remove the water content, which is what makes the ethanol-blended gasoline (E10) highly corrosive.
“That’s why Petron wrote to the DoE. If we push E10, we have to prepare the correct specifications to prevent damage to cars,” Ang explained.
“Right now, the DoE together with the industry is formulating the specifications and the guidelines. They are studying it. What we are saying here is based on the experience of motorists and our own experience as well,” Ang said.
Under the Biofuels Law, all oil companies are mandated to pre-blend 5 percent ethanol in gasoline-fueled vehicles starting February 2009 and increase this to 10 percent by 2011. Most of the oil companies began pre-blending 10 percent ethanol in their gasoline products as early as 2008, way ahead of the mandate of the law.
In a separate phone interview, Petron president Eric O. Recto said the company was still “in the middle of collating data to help the industry understand the potential impact of ethanol (on vehicles).”
“We have empirical evidence coming from all over but we’re not done with the information gathering—a few more weeks or a month maybe to complete (it)... ethanol has certain negative effects on car engines,” Recto said.
He noted that the move is an initiative of Petron, but was something they thought would benefit the rest of the oil industry.
“Let me put it this way, there are pluses and minuses in using ethanol and we just want to make sure that both sides are studied and heard first,” Recto said

Petron na mismo nagsabi... any comments fellow tsikoteers? me, i never use E10 pa.. nung nawala unleaded, i shift to XCS.
someone should have spoken up way before...or maybe did a lot of tests before implementing it as far as i'm concerned. probably 2-3years of testing would do...parang minadali kasi e. everyone knows that your car is one of the biggest investments that a person will buy in hi/her lifetime. haaay...![]()
I just don't use it, period. Until they make all gasolines into E-10, I'll just use the non-E10 types such as Caltex Gold, XCS, or V Power. Even the lesser cost won't convince me to use E10. What's a few pesos per liter that you will save compared to the costs you will incur when your engine gets damaged in the long run.
Just my two cents worth.
