May 27th, 2016 12:56 AM #332Lighter pockets, but seriously, none at all, btw all gas companies have their proprietary formula, i think its the formula that makes the difference not really the octane, as long as there is no engine knock, use the lowest ron, just for kicks try chk out caltex 93 and 95 first, same formula diffeernt ron, see if youll notice any difference.

July 1st, 2016 12:14 PM #333Looks likePetron has increased their prices on their 91 ron unleaded fuel. They removed the 93 ron fuel, renamed the 91 ron to Petron Xtra Advance then charged a higher price.

Nope. DOE requirement is just 91 RON. Doesn't matter if you go higher, whether 93, 95, 97, or 100.
Petron rationalized their product lineup because of the lack of differentiation between PSX and Xtra. Tank constraints also play a factor because their UGTs have to be subdivided into many compartments to accommodate their different gasoline product grades. Less products = less headaches.

As long as namamatay after a few seconds, that's normal. It's a feature on many cars.
