[SIZE=2]Thanks so much straker and blueVespa!!!
To Straker: What i read on this thread still confuses because i have not seen the real thing yet. There are some things mentioned in this thread i just don't understand yet.
To BlueVespa: Where is Greengas located? Approximately how much did you spend for the conversion? What kind of body modifications will they do with fitting in a toroidal tank? What is the capacity of the cylindrical tank you installed on your crv? How long will the conversion be done? dami tanong hope you could answer. thanks so much in advance!!

Actually, I'm no auto expert myself....You can check the LPG kit sites that GH mentioned in the list, but nothing beats dropping by the shop. By seeing them in action and talking to the folks will give you more info to make that important decision.

true. naka 2 trips ako sa greenfuel before ako nagpa convert. mas madaling maintindihan yung process when you see the actual parts, conversion process and talking to the installers. mas ok pa nga ito kesa magbasa ng 130pages thread hehe.

My CR-V is a Gen1 so the toroidal tank couldn't fit under the picnic table without having to cut away / bend a portion of the sheet metal. I think it fits in a Gen2.

Greengas is inside the Velco LPG gas station along Mindanao Avenue across Veterans Hospital. I suggest you go there.

I paid P40k for the SGI system with a 40l tank, although I think Sharon has increased her prices. Conversion took 5 days because I initially wanted a toroidal tank and could not make up my mind about the cylindrical tank right away.

I don't know if it helped that I was there when the system was tuned, but we did an actual road test / tweaking (with my "normal" driving style) with the laptop connected to the ECU.

    Hope this helps.

You'll possibly need a mid-range kit, the ones being sold for 3 liter engines and higher. You can also get the EconoGas VOGAS kit, which does real-time mixing of LPG and gasoline... so you can run 100% LPG at low rpms but still have punch at higher rpms, with gasoline off-setting the possible lack of flow from the LPG injectors.

You can try to go to Speedlab and have them install Greenfuel's 3 liter and up SGI kit... (the one for engines up to 2.5 liters will definitely not work for your engine)... they can provide on-the-spot tuning options (which I mentioned a few pages back) which will help your car run right on LPG.

And they're aching to do a Turbo-LPG conversion... there's a possibility that, with the right tuning, LPG will give you more power than gasoline, due to the better resistance to knock with ignition advance at high boost.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

You have a branch in Highway54, can the same jobs be done there?

the branch in hi-way 54 is just the office of our korean representative. Installation is done here at my shop in Vito cruz makati. near Shopwise P.tamo.

For the tank, no need to use the donut tank, I cna show you pictures of how it can be done unis cylindrical tanks.

For economical reasons and I would suggest a close-loop.

But our SGI system will be available by end of this month (according to our principals).

I hate to admit it, your offer is VERY TEMPTING :inlababu:

I'm inclined to use a donut to keep the trunk space as much as possible.

Is it wise for a car owner to turn his car from petrol to a purely LPG? And use the car's existing tank and fuel lines exclusively for LPG and plug in the heater, vaporiser and other gadgets between the fuel line and the engine?

I wouldn't recommend such. Being able to switch to and from LPG to Petrol is a wiser decision since most LPG Stations are situated around the Metro and are not yet present in most Provinces. if you decide to convert your vehicle to SGI you would also need Petrol for start-up before it switches you automatically to LPG and visa versa. The Petrol lines cannot be used by LPG, it will have its separate line from the tank's multivalve going to the vaporizer via copper pipe. The Vaporizer and other gadgets are placed systematically and mapped out in your engine compartment. Hope this helps!
