2.0 how about iridium and other type of spark plug aside from the plugs recommended by OEM. may nakagamit na ba and does it also improve your lpg performance.

    reason for the question:
im using lpg for almost 5 months now with stock plugs * 7K km running on lpg. the problem now is when the car is idling without AC, nag ddrop and RPM to the point na mag stall na yung kotse. during the first 3 months naman hinde ganito.

as recommended by greenfuel yesterday (alvin) try to replace the plugs with resistor type or the 6pbs type. i want to check with lpg user first para malaman kung may significant impact ba ito otherwise i will stick with the stock plugs. Thanks.
Just maintain the same type of sparkplug you are currently using and simply change to one step colder.

From what I have been reading, platinum cold sparkplugs seems to solve sparkplug related problems.

LPG prices keep getting higher. So the price difference between LPG and petrol keeps getting smaller. With the high cost of conversion, the ROI is getting longer. It seems it is now harder to convince other people to convert than it was a few years ago.
It is somewhat similar to what happened between diesel and gas. Years ago, their price difference is big, but not now.
You think that would also happen to LPG, that the price difference between LPG and gas would soon catch up to just a few pesos?

It'll get higher, but I don't know if it'll reach diesel-gas levels (and remember, diesel here is artificially cheap due to government subsidy). LPG has diverse sources, and is not reliant upon crude oil production.

The price inflation locally seems artificially induced. We'd been talking about the possibility of hoarding a few days ago, and lo and behold, the government has already caught at least one trader hoarding LPG canisters.

I'm sure there will be many more to follow.

Curious lang ako...so dun sa mga meron real-time fuel consumption meter (e.g. Fortuner), I guess it would be interesting to see the "mileage" you're getting on the display when running on LPG??

I have MID in Innova same with other IMV (Fortuner and Hi-Lux), the display is the same as it calculate base on the matrix of Air-fuel mix, electronic gas pedal movements, electronic throttle, cam/crank MRE sensor and emission sensors. Basically, it does not include in the matrix the gasoline tank meter as it will not give accurate reading all the time when the car is moving.

So when on LPG mode, the MID average Km/li reading is just as normal when in petrol. I usually get a minus 1-2 average Km/li reading when on LPG.

Hehe. Thanks Mile2.

so far hanggang makauwi ako dito sa bahay hinde erractic ang idle even if i turn off the AC. ayos na at salamat sa team greenfuel.

ang hinde na lang ayos ngayon yung presyo ng lpg, 21.50 sa cleanfuel sucat..rollback naman jan

I'm a total newbie sa auto-LPG. Where can I find an updated F.A.Q? I want to convert a SUV kasi.

Would auto-LPG offer the same performance as unleaded? Parehong hatak, walang slowdown? Same horsepower?

Does it harm the engine any more or less than when the car is running on unleaded?

    Low maintenance ba ito?

Your questions have already been answered in this thread. You might want to take the time to read through it. Your questions and others more have been answered in this thread.

As for converting now, the current price difference of gasoline and LPG is not that big so it might not be economically feasible for you to convert to Auto-LPG unless you are doing a whole lot of kilometers in a month.

hi smdelfin! actually the shortage is not because of hording etc. its because of Europe buying LPG now that its winter time. LPG is a by-product when you produce gasoline and diesel so i don't see it having shortage issues due to production and its prices should return to normal levels soon enough.

Good evening to all auto lpg users. I have been using it for 5 moths now.
My friend said this morning that there was a news of a taxi in makati whose lpg tank blew. Please shed light on this matter. Thanks

The fire was cause by the A/C blower catching fire.

Do you think a gasoline fueled taxi cab would do better in that same situation?

Or a diesel powered L300? Or Ferrari?

The driver said flames were coming out of the aircon vents. That indicates an electrical fire caused by faulty wiring or a faulty blower motor.
