The venturi system seems to be a more robust system if a bit crude way to inject fuel into the engine. Less susceptible to oil contamination. Only drawbacks are the lower overwall power, more frequent air filter maintenance and slightly less fuel mileage.
I agree. What's really good with SGI is that you'll hardly notice that you're running on LPG. Unfortunately to your point, the current systems may not be that perfect yet. I'm sure they'll figure it out later...

I'm not sure about the others, but in my case, maybe once a month or once every 2 months, when I turn off the engine for a short while (e.g. to stop for a snack or buy something), for some strange reason, when I start the engine again and switch to LPG, the engine dies. And no matter how many times I try, the car won't run on LPG. I suspect this could be what Mile2 was saying about stuck up injectors.

Just to share, I was doing an experiment when the price difference between unleaded and LPG was still around P15/liter (right now, the prices of unleaded and LPG are much closer together so I'm using unleaded for now). I'm not sure if it's working or was just a coincidence but during the time I was doing this experiment, I never had problems running on LPG. What I did was that before turning off the engine, I manually switch to gasoline. I don't turn off the engine on LPG. The only downside is that when I start the engine again, I have to manually push the button to switch back to LPG. I don't know kung nagkataon lang but you may want to try if you are experiencing the same problem.

i also use this method before when i was having problems with my lpg system last time coz the engine cannot sustain the rpm at idle. but after they replaced my vaporiser 1st week of march problem was solve at idle, with AC , w/o AC condition. I also observed my lpg mileage improve and more consistent than before, im averaging 9km/li lpg.

What was the problem with your indicator?

My fuel level indicator is pretty funky from time to time. Also, my "low-batt" warning comes on at roughly 300kms wherein i've consumed around 26 to 30L... but i can still run on to around 500kms+ in that state before filling up (and so far i've never run my LPG dry yet). The LED indicator in the car doesnt go down in consistent levels either (the lowest and 3rd level indicator last 50kms or less on me while the 2nd and top levels last 100kms or so...).

LED indicator is always on "low fuel" (blinking last LED) even on full tank capacity.

Manila Autogas has removed their points system/card. Those who accumulated points should now collect their rewards in Vito Cruz branch. Look for Jeng. Mondays to Fridays only.

Mr. Mike, i plan to uninstall the SGI kit from Greenfuel since im planning to sell my Adventure. Does the SGI kit works fine with Altis or Sentra?

Any feedback from Altis or Sentra owner with SGI kit? Please share the ups and downs of an SGI kit installed.

    Thanks in advance.

Finally, Total Alabang slashed its prices. Actually, it's more of a loyalty discount promo. They give you a free sticker (which I put inside my gas filler) and you're entitled to a P1.50 per liter discount on all fuel everytime. Their autogas regular price now is P18.90, so it turns out to be P17.40 only. :2thumbsup:

boss sabihin mo lang regular ka napapa karga sa kanila and they will give you a sticker with the size of LTO registraton sticker na kasing laki nung nasa plate number. yung sa akin dun ko mismo nilagay sa plate number saktong sakto kasi

ngayon everytime ako mag refill sa total sinasabi ko lagi na may sticker ako sa likod, alam na nila ang gagawin. buti na lang naisip ng total ito kaya yung presyo nila ok na rin.

    cheers!
