I've read some word on the net that even flashlube isn't enough because the metering of the lube isn't enough.
If you're really worried about valves, go for the dual-gas system that will mix in gasoline at high loads (this is where valve seat recession sets in... at high rpms where the combustion chamber is hot and the valve starts micro-welding itself to the valve seat and chewing bits out of it).
You have to consider the source of your research and the type of kits that such observations come from... is it for the Forester mismo? Or for other cars? What kind of kits were they using? And what is the age of the cars? I'm compiling data on converted vehicles overseas, and so far, most of the problems appear to be backfiring with venturi mixers, with valve recession not reported on newer vehicles... though everyone keeps saying it will happen, nobody has shown it happening with an SGI kit on a 2000+ vehicle.

September 8th, 2008 12:05 PM #2642Certificate of Conversion from Accredited shops.
So are all the Shops posted at the
AUTO-LPG Installers Contact Information thread
Accredited?
Based from the news posted above its advised Auto LPG users have it with them. So do Private Vehicles need to have these certificate? or the Receipts will do?

Sounds like my parents and brother two years ago. Even then, I went ahead with converting my daily driven corolla to Auto-LPG. Took them a good while before they are convinced about Auto-LPG. Today, nearly all our cars are running on Auto-LPG and they are promoting the use of Auto-LPG to their friends, relatives, etc as well.

September 8th, 2008 03:14 PM #2645Hey GH,
what's the size of the toroidal tank you had installed on the mazda 3?
I'm having my Mazda 3 converted this wednesday.
The only available is the 40L toroidal tank.
Sa installation kasama na yung woodwork to cover up the tank?
Regards,
Glenn

September 8th, 2008 03:41 PM #2646i had almost emptied my gas tank the other day pero above empty pa ... and in my experience me reserve pa yun ..... unfortunately i was parked at an incline ..... shet ayaw na umistart ng oto ko !!!! kelangan pala talga me gasolina ka kahit madami ka pa LPG just to start the engine .... after many tries naririnig ko lang is taktaktaktak seemed to come from inside the engine (from spark plugs ??) .... fortunately malapit lang ako sa gasolinahan .... bought some gasoline .... tried again .... but the battery seemed to be weak na .... ayun tawag ng rescue hehehehe friend came with battery jumper cables .... ayun nag start na hehehehehe.
The next day okay naman sya .... from manila pumunta ako qc then greenhills then qc then back to manila .... all was well naman. But this morning shet ayaw na naman mag start !!! buti na lang me good samaritan at nag pa jumper na naman ako .... ayun umistart naman ng maayos .... nag idle lang ako 1hr sa parking lot hehehhe para ma charge ang battery .... after that patay makina ... start uli ... umandar naman ng maayos ..... haaayyy sana umistart bukas ng umaga hehehehe.
Question : yung bang ecu ng LPG kit me mga settings na kapag ni disconnect ko from battery ng matagal e mawawala ??? at kelangan ibalik ko sa greenfuel to reset/calibrate ??

There shouldn't be anything... but I don't know. Only learning ECUs get wiped when you disconnect the battery... preprogrammed ones shouldn't.

September 8th, 2008 05:46 PM #2649Hi glenn, had the opportunity to check out the Mazda 3 before. Since the spare tire you have is half the normal size of the actual tire putting in a 40li toroidal should be just right so that it won't bulge out. though i'm not too sure if you can still place the Styro for your tools. check with them they might have a solution for it.
